I truly believe that JOY is our birthright. I believe that we are on earth to experience JOY and to enJOY being JOYous beings.
One of the easiest ways to access JOY is through beauty and appreciating beauty. It can be as simple as your favorite cup or as big as travelling to an exotic place to see the ocean’s view for the first time.
Beauty is all around us and we can see it when we look. (っ◔◡◔)っ

Yesterday I took time out to video this Mountain Ash tree. I now have this captured and will enJOY it again and again. I just love nature so much. What about you? Do you take time to see the wonder that nature has to offer? Do you stop to notice the beauty around you?
I highly recommend connecting with natures and with moments like this. It’s very therapeutic and good for the soul.
I am at my cottage enJOYing the fall and the peacefulness of this quiet time of year out here. I was putting away the camp journals and was delighted to find this note I had put in the box that holds the journals.
What a fantastic reminder I thought, especially that this reminder came from Anne Frank. If you do not know who Anne Frank was, I found a blog post online that explains who she was. Here is the link.
I remember reading this book when I was a young girl. I find it so interesting to see that Anne was the exact same Life Path number in numerology that I am. A 30/3 or a 3. Threes are known to be optimistic, have large amounts of creative self-expression, great communicators, and are uplifting to others. This definitely describes Anne. Imagine that she could write a quote like this when was in hiding during the Holocaust.
Anne’s words remind us that we can always find beauty in life, We can always find the goodness. We simply need to look for it.
I hope you enJOYed this reminder about life as much as I did today. Blessings to all!
The thing you have to be prepared for is that other people don’t always dream your dream.
I ran across this quote from Linda Ronstadt this morning and thought it had a lot of depth to it.
The most important part is to realize that we all have dreams of some sort. Some of us have bigger ones than others, but everybody in life has dreams, hopes and desires. It is what fuels our soul and propels us forward.
Happy are those with big dreams that make them jump out of bed in the morning. 🙂 This is akin to thriving and not just surviving.
It is also important to note that as the quote states “other people don’t always dream your dreams”. This means we are all different but more significant is that it is important for us to take our own dreams seriously, because they are OURS! If you don’t make your dreams a priority, who will?
As a Life Coach, I teach this often. YES, your dreams ARE important. YES you matter! YES it is important to go after what you want in life if you want to leave this earth fulfilled and feeling that it was a JOYous journey. YES. YES. YES to making your dreams come true or at least going for them. The JOY is in the journey but if we never take the first step, the journey never begins.
I hope you seriously take some time today to ponder on what is important to you. What are some of your dreams? And it does not matter how old you are or where you are at in life. You can ALWAYS have dreams and desires. I saw a positive article the other day about a paramedic crew that took a forester who was in palliative care on a 3 hour hike through the bush on a stretcher so he could be there one last time. It is NEVER too late to have wishes and desires.
Some of the best dreams fulfilled are simple ones like eating at a favorite restaurant, visiting with a friend, spending time in nature, taking time to get lost in a book or a movie. These all count but the most important thing is to decide and declare that your dreams need to be on your mind and your agenda.
Dream big or dream small, but do dream……

I love lilacs! My sister in Toronto sent me an email yesterday saying she thought of me when she saw these. Apparently where she lives, the lilacs are in bloom. Not yet where I am though, so something to look forward to!
The sweet smell of these flowers are amazing to me and it takes me to an almost mystical place when I inhale their beauty. And the colors! Although they come in various colors, light purple, dark purple and white being the most common in my neck of the woods, I like the light purple the best! What are your favorites?
I hope you find extra beauty in the flowers this spring. I know I enJOY them more and more every year and it seems as I age, their beauty becomes even more profound to me.

I am in Denver, Colorado and today I was out exploring. I found the architecture and the buildings simply jaw dropping and I will be making a blog post to share some of those pictures, but in this post I wanted to share this one picture. I was taking a picture of a church with a tall building behind it and this is what ended up being captured. I thought it was pretty awesome!
We are bombarded with ads everywhere promoting a more youthful appearance, how to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and how to stop aging. It’s sad really that we feel this way.
My daughter is 12 and she often expresses with complete JOY how cute she thinks old people are. In fact, she often calls them adorable! I feel the same and I love that the youth of the world think so too!
I often people watch in places like airports and on airplanes and I am just in awe at the beauty and grace all around me in the form of aging bodies that contain souls and minds full of wisdom and life. I marvel just as much at them as I do at the brand new babies, maybe more so!
The word that often comes to mind, when I encounter this beauty, is ‘gentleness’ and I think the world needs more gentleness now …. don’t you?
What if we spent the precious time that we do have in our days focusing on shining eyes and beautiful souls, rather than trying to stop the grace that presents itself in the process of aging and in all of its glory?
Do I get caught off guard at times when I look at my own reflection in the mirror? Yes, but now I try to smile back at myself and look into my own eyes, knowing that all is perfect, and every stage in life has its beauty. We often say there are ages and stages when it comes to raising kids, but there are also ages and stages to aging. The more we can accept all of these stages, with grace, the gentler the process and the more we can see the beauty.
I encourage everyone to look for the beauty, to love the ages and stages, and to remember that at the end of our lives it’s not about the wrinkles, but about who we loved, who loved us, and the moments that mattered along the way…….
“Life is a series of thousands of tiny miracles, notice them.”

This beautiful display was my view this morning on the last day of January. Lake Superior never disappoints and offers opportunities to take one’s breath away on a daily basis.
Lately I have been drawn even more so to the crystals in my life. Having named my coaching business “Crystal Clear Coaching” many years ago, it seems fitting. However, I did not understand the true beauty of the way crystal formations can and do appear in nature.
I like to think of these crystals formations as conduits to beauty, clarity and divine offerings….

Oh Great Lake Superior.
I did not know I would fall so deep…
So deep in love with you!
Or how deep your rapture would in turn capture my soul.
I now long and yearn for you when together or apart.
You share with me your beauty.
And it goes straight to my heart.
You show me your many faces.
All of which are unique and pleasing to the eye.
I now know why artists listen to your waves and point their cameras in your midst.
You are relentless in your offerings of beauty and divine prowess.
Your treasures are timeless and the delight you offer is legendary.
Oh how my soul thanks you!
