Support Your Beautiful SOUL!

“Support your SOUL just by being YOU!”

What does your soul want? Your soul just wants to express itself. It wants to use its creativity. It wants to follow its divine plan to help you unleash your gifts that you brought with you here to Planet Earth.

How do we unlock this door to the soul?  It’s easier than you think❢❢❢

We throw away the key and we just be who we are. We get up each day and we ask ourselves who we are and what brings us JOY? And we follow that! We follow our hearts. We follow our BLISS and that, my friends, is how we throw away the key and cast aside any doubt.

We drop the insecurities and the expectations and we stop analyzing and worrying  if we are doing the right thing because there is no right thing. We are perfectly imperfect and came here exactly to be just that!

So I hope that you embrace the ease and grace of just letting YOU be YOU each and every day!

On another note I have included a quote from my spouse Don that he created today. You can see it below. It’s the one about Heaven on Earth. I have also attached a 2 minute audio clip to explain our thoughts about and around the quote and where it was inspired from for Don.

Don and I both like to write. Don moreso poetry and me well these types of blog posts.

Don and I also love to share our thoughts, ideas, and philosophies with each other. We do this through phone calls throughout the day as well as deep discussions on date night which as most of you know is Friday night for us. It’s very sacred to us. Sharing like this with another Human Being who is also creating their own Heaven on Earth is such a beautiful thing and I am very grateful for him.

I hope you enJOY everything presented here today from our hearts to yours and have a great day everyone! And here is the short audio clip.

A Very Special Date Night With Friends …

My Don, Me, Lorraine, and Don 🙂 #friends

Many of you know that every Friday night my husband and I are dedicated and committed, with JOY, to having a date night.

Well, last night was a little different than our normal date, and it was such a beautiful and welcome treat! We even brought JOY along with us… you can see from the pictures. This is my JOY Doll that I bring with me and also move around the house to remind myself that we bring JOY with us and we find the JOY. 🙂

We were invited to a friend’s house for appetizers and it was so nice because I haven’t been out in so long. The only place I’ve been going lately as I manage my Stage 4 Cancer ‘Diagnosis’ as well as recent Pandemic restrictions with visitations and the closure of businesses and such, is to my vitamin C IV therapy on Thursdays and a few grocery stores. I’m home most of the time and I really was starting to get where where I craved just sitting with people and eating food together and connecting through the heart.

Don and Lorraine are great friends to us. In fact earlier in the day Don plowed all of my snow and used the snow blower and shovel to make a path to my little lake house so that I could get out if I needed and my support workers could get in to help me.

We had the most lovely evening and we visited over appetizers. I had an APPETITE and I don’t always so this was really, really JOYful to me!

In fact, at one point I wept with JOY just for the experience and to be able to eat and sit with these beautiful people. I had to just stop and let my emotions pass which I have learned is OK to do. In fact it is necessary for healthy emotional Detox.

Human connection is so important for us and we need to have that. One of the things that I have found on my new journey, is that food is one of the most pleasurable and JOYous experiences here on Earth and it is something that I miss the absolute most when I cannot eat or cannot get an appetite.

I also have found it challenging to even try to explain to people what it feels like to just want to have an appetite! To just want to! You just want to be able to smell food and not have an adversion to it. You want to be able to salivate and prepare for the JOYous experience of eating and when you don’t have that it’s like one of the vital life forces has been taken from you.

Anyhow, my Friends last night I was lucky and I had it all, time with my favorite man, time laughter and sharing with good friends and food. I hope that you too take time for food and connection with others in your life and I love you all! And please enJOY this short audio clip that I have made just for YOU! Here it is:

cancer, hope, My Cancer Journey

♥ What Do HOPE & Lake Superior Have in Common? â™¥

Everything is meant to be!

Several years ago I picked up these two candleholders at the Farmer’s Market. I gravitated to these two in particular. The pictures do not them justice. The colors are much more vibrant in real life and the HOPE one looks to have pretty purple amethyst at the bottom. These candles have gel in them and you use replaceable tea lights in them.

Flashback to when I got these. I did not have a Cancer Diagnosis and I did not have a place on Lake Superior!

Flash ahead. I was diagnosed in March of 2021 with stage 4 Incurable Colon Cancer and guess what the first thing I looked for? It was HOPE! I even Googled HOPE!

Flash ahead. I spend my days at my little lake house on the shores of Lake Superior ebbing and flowing to the needs of my body, mind and spirit at this time. I call this my ‘Healing House’.

This whole thing reminds me every day that I am exactly where I need to be and that I am SUPPOSED to be here on this particular journey at this particular time in my life and it helps me to accept everything with GRACE!

I feel this often. I feel like this is perfectly matched to my soul and what is supposed to happen. It gives me comfort. And when I am in comfort I am not in resistance. And when I am not in resistance I am not in pain. I am in PEACE.

I do not feel as though I am a victim and I trust that I am divinely guided on this journey now and always.

ᗯᕼᗩT ᗩᗷOᑌT YOᑌ?

Do you feel that things happen to you? Or for you? Do you trust that things are always working for your highest good? Or do you resist and struggle? I think this is where the word ‘Faith’ would come into play. We need to have faith that our soul knows the reasons we call to us experiences on this journey called LIFE. Life is sweeter because of the hardships, although not easy. I hope that when you are in your times of struggle you too can keep your faith and use grace as a conduit for peace.

💎💎💎I love you all now and to eternity.💎💎💎

Grateful & Graceful

QUOTE: “When times are good, be grateful, and when times are tough, be graceful.” Anonymous

Words have such depth and meaning to them especially when you really lean in to the energy and frequency of them. They are magical really.

Do you notice that for example, when you even say the word “Grace”, it even feels graceful? 🙂

Not only saying the words but using them in our daily life helps us to access the true frequencies of what they imply.

I love living my life with ‘Grace’. And how about ‘Ease’? Another great word to incorporate the energy of in your daily life.

This might be something to ponder on…. accessing the tremendous potential of the frequencies in words!

Have an AMAZING day my friends!

The MOST Important Thing For Me on My Journey with Stage IV Cancer

My Talk With My Daughter Yesterday

Yesterday was the day that my 15-year-old daughter and I had a very emotional talk about my journey with cancer. We shared, we cried, we hugged and we both got a deeper understanding of each other’s feelings and where everything is at, as we know it. I let Sivanna ask any questions about anything at all that she had. We both shared how we felt in March, along the way and now. It was an open, transparent conversation that unfolded perfectly and it prompted me to write this blog post that I have been meaning to write for quite some time.

It may in fact be the most important post, for me, that I will ever write as part of my writing legacy and on my journey with cancer.

What Is This Important Thing That I Speak of?

From day one on my journey which started with a trip to the emergency department on March 6 of 2021, I have felt this….

After I learned of my diagnosis of Stage 4 Uncurable Cancer, and after I processed it all, what I realized that I both needed and wanted most, was this:

Throughout it all, I want and have wanted from Day 1, is for my Husband to continue to be my Husband and for my Daughter to be my Daughter, and what I mean by this is that I needed them and still do, to be who they are in their roles in life. I want them both to be happy and doing what they love, working and attending school, engaging in life and doing the things that 15-year-olds and Dads enJOY doing!

There is no way I could handle everything being revolved around me and my cancer. And yesterday, Sivanna and I talked about this. I explained that this whole experience is new to me and I was learning and processing as I went along. What helped me most was that they are my rocks and they keep my spirit high when they are living THEIR lives to the fullest.

In retrospect, I am soooooo very glad that we did not sit down as a family in March and say something like “Okay family meeting. Mom’s got Stage 4 Incurable Cancer and then we would all be devasted and the world would start to revolve around me and my disease. I so did not want that so the way it rolled was perfect.

As my favorite Doctor says “This experiment has never been done before”. This means we don’t know how this will unfold for me given MY body and what I am doing etc. So we have all processed and dealt with this as we have gone along and I feel it has been the best way to handle it, for us anyways. It has allowed life to go on because it does! Life goes on no matter what is happening and I want my peeps to be in JOY! I know we all have to let our feelings express themselves but we don’t need to become obsessed with the disease. The disease takes away enough on its own.

I explained to Sivanna that I NEVER want her to have any regrets, now or in the future. For example, I said maybe we talk about spending time together and you tell me that you are chilling and watching TikTok videos. I say “Great!” That is what my daughter is enJOYing… just being her 15-year old self!

I have no NEED for having to spend time together for the sake of just thinking we should. I also shared that if she is doing something that she enJOYs and if a thought strikes her like “OMG my Mom has cancer!”and thinking she should be sad, to stop and say “No it’s okay for me to be happy right now”. Now my friends this is what I want the most for my daughter and all of those who love me.

One of The Hardest Things About Cancer

One of the hardest parts about cancer is telling those you love. It took me a long time to spill the beans to everyone and for some, it was through a blog post. I can tell you that I can still see the look in the eyes of everyone that I told in person and those are the hardest conversations I ever had in my entire life! It had to be done in stages because it is just too painful to see the pain in others and to hear it in their voices. This disease affects everyone in your circle, it is not a stand-alone thing.

So to all of you reading this today or in the future, no matter what turn life throws you, make a choice. Choose not to let it become your life. Try not to let it consume the life and happiness of everyone around you. It really is much easier this way, I promise.

And as always and in all ways, I love you all!

Little Sandwiches & My Death

Yep. You read that title right!

Please note that this blog post although updated was written in January of 2021, 3 months before my cancer diagnosis.

I am writing this blog post more for me so I can remember something that moved me deeply yesterday, but hey if you are here and want to read along, feel free.

So here it is……. Yesterday I was driving by a funeral home and saw the cars outside. It made me wonder, because of the time of day, if they were having a luncheon about that time. I started thinking about how I love little tea sandwiches. I always have. I can pass on the desserts but the little sandwiches I have a hard time saying No to :-).

My spouse also knows this and we have often talked about how there will be little sandwiches at my funeral. 🙂 I started to think about this and in one brief moment in time while pondering these little sandwiches, I had an epiphany!

Life will go on and it will happen quickly! I saw the people say goodbye to me, say some nice words, eat little sandwiches, sip on coffee and tea and enJOY some desserts and then hop in their cars and go back to work, to their homes, to their life. It will go on as it always does.

I may not be conveying what I feel here but that’s okay because I get it and I did mention this blog post was more for me to remember the moment from yesterday’s drive by the funeral home. 🙂

What do I take from this? The Gems!

.

. Here are the gems! (And sidenote I am rereading this on January 26, 2022, nearly 11 months after my Stage IV Cancer Diagnosis and I wouldn’t change a thing! 🙂

. I think these are all great! 🙂

. life is short so make the moments matter and the moments count

. forgive quickly and often

. look at everything and every experience as though it were both the first and last time you will feel that, experience that, or see that

. eat the chocolate! (and the little sammies off course) 🙂

. appreciate each and everyday for the gift that it is, our days are numbered and we all know it… it’s realizing it that matters most

. throw FEAR out the window and tell it you never want to see it again! Live fearlessly

and in JOY!

. be as much YOU as you can! Authentic, Real, Raw in all your imperfection which is perfect!

. be FREE…………….
