Soulful Relfections, Sunshine

SoulFULL Sunday

Good Morning!

It is a beautiful Sunday morning here where I live and the sun is shining after several days of clouds and rain.

I am sipping on my morning Sunshine Drink and just put on a pot of potatoes to boil for a potato soup for lunch. I was inspired by a friend’s Facebook post this morning of their Potoato Soup and I thought this would be the perfect thing to make for lunch! I am developing my recipe for it in between writing this blog post. ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I was thinking about a theme for the day which is “SoulFULL Sunday” or filling our souls with things that bring sunshine into our lives, just like my morning Sunshine Drink.

Here is a picture I just took in my backyard which also fills my soul with sunshine and it feels so good!

The sun in my backyard with the trees and the sun appearing in a star shape.

This morning I stayed in bed and did some book hopping (that is how I roll) and that too filled my soul with sunshine.

One of the books that I skimmed through was an authentic Vegan Mexican cookbook and reading about the culture, the ingredients and the tools used to make the dishes filled my soul with sunshine.

I have a deep interest in food and cooking lately and my mind is opening up to a whole new level of creativity and excitement and that fills my soul with sunshine.

My daughter just got up and came to me to say “Good Morning” and we had a beautiful hug and a moment of connection. Now that filled my soul with sunshine and then some!

Writing fills my soul with ๐ŸŒž and writing this blog post this morning is bringing me great JOY!

What about you? What are you doing today to fill YOUR soul with sunshine?

It is my intent that my words may inspire YOU to take a minute right now to decide what your sunshine is and what will make your soul smile. ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a beautiful day everyone and whether you are reading this today or in the future, may your heart be filled with sunshine. ๐Ÿ™‚

Fill Your Heart With Sunshine

A ball of sunlight streaming through the trees

This morning I got up and went to the bathroom and took a moment to look out the window to the backyard. The sun was shining through the trees and I just took a minute to stop and be in gratitude for that exact moment.

I then intuitively felt the desire to fill my heart with sunshine before I started my day. And I actually felt it!

I thought “Wow, I will start my day like this more often”. I will connect with the sun and bring it into my heart and then start my day.

MMM MMM

May your day be filled with Love and your heart filled with sunshine….. have a good one everybody….

Sunflower Power

Want to know something fascinating?

I don’t know if this is true or not, but I believe it is! I saw something on Facebook the other day talking about sunflowers. They were saying that the sunflowers reach for the sun but when it is cloudy often they will turn toward each other and this is how the ‘get their energy’…. from each other instead of the sun.

WOW! This made me think of us as human beings. When we are feeling good and empowered we are strong enough to stand on our own. But when we are struggling we need to reach out to others to help support us.

And we too get revived and healed from the sun’s beautiful healing energy.

Here is another one I also wrote, entitled “ลคฤคแบธ ลœฯปแบธฤนฤน แป–ฦ‘ ลœว—ล‡ลœฤคฤฎล‡แบธ”, which btw is one of my favorite smells right up there with fresh air and fresh crisp sheets. ๐Ÿ™‚ https://maggieholbik.blog/2019/03/25/the-smell-of-sunshine/

I sure look at sunflowers differently now. I have a whole new respect for them. ๐Ÿ™‚ EnJOY your Saturday everyone.

The Smell of Sunshine

For years I have loved the ‘smell of sunshine’. I have not researched it much, but what I have, Googled, tells me there is no such thing. I don’t believe this however. ๐Ÿ™‚

I know and love the smell of sunshine!

When the sun shines on items, even through a window, eventually a beautiful smell is created and the only way to describe this scent is heavenly! I have a pink blanket on the end of my bed at my beach house, which gets a lot of sunshine everyday that it’s sunny, and the smell is divine. It’s like fresh air and sunshine combined.

Today I was telling my friend once again about the smell of sunshine and how much I love it. I asked her if she had ever heard of this and she said “No”. So I had her smell this throw that is on one of the chairs here that gets sunshine every morning. Sure enough she was able to smell what I was talking about and and she agreed with me completely!!! This smell is divine!

I encourage you to try smelling the sunshine in your house. It works best when it is cast on things that are made out of cotton or terry cloth. Natural fibers seem to soak up that sunshine the best! ๐Ÿ™‚
