I snapped this shot last night with my phone. I love the pink hues on the snow. There is so much beauty where I live and I enJOY it everyday.

โAll this knowledge of the objective world is of no value in comparison to having a little glimpse of the inner sky and its beauty โ its sunrises and sunsets, its days and nights, its blue sky and its stars. The outer then looks only a pale reflection of the inner. The inner becomes more real and the outer becomes just a shadow.โ -Osho
This summer I have had the pleasure of witnessing many beautiful sunrises, sunsets and stars that took my breath away.
For me, every time I gaze up at the starry sky I am reminded that this is where I come from. I feel a part of the entire universe in that moment.
I have a goal of learning night photography so I can capture the beauty of what my naked eyes sees and also what a camera is able to capture and my eye is not.
So often in life we search outside of ourselves for things to make us happy and then one day many of us realize that the things that were always there are the ones that make us most happy, like a sunrise, sunset or the stars.
What about you? What takes your breath away? What takes you to that place of feeling one with all that is?
I hope you find these beautiful moments in your life too. And the cool thing is that the more you find them, the more they appear, which is awesome!
I snapped this picture the other day using my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus and thought it was just gorgeous!
This picture is the sun setting on Lake Superior in Shuniah township. To the right in the picture is the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Thunder Bay has a population of about 110,000 people and is a nestled in the middle of Canada. It is bordered by Lake Superior, one of the 5 great lakes all of which are freshwater, accounting for 1/5 of the freshwater surface on the planet.
According to Wikipedia:
Lake Superior (French: lac Supรฉrieur; Ojibwe: แญแฆแแ-แฒแฃแ, translit.Gitchi-Gami), the largest of the Great Lakes of North America, is also the world’s largest freshwater lake by surface area, and the third largest freshwater lake by volume. The lake is shared by the Canadian province of Ontario to the north, the U.S. state of Minnesota to the west, and Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to the south. [6] The farthest north and west of the Great Lakes chain, Superior has the highest elevation of all five great lakes and drains into the St. Mary’s River.
I’ve had people reach out to me about painting this picture and I hope they do! I love that we can share the beauty in the world… and on that note, feel free to share this blog post showing the glorious colours produced by nature’s sunsets in this beautiful part of the world. EnJOY!
