Here are 3 more affirmations around embracing life.
Affirmation: I embrace my unique essenceAffirmation: I embrace my Love for myselfI embrace the gifts of life
I hope you put these affirmations to good use and I have enclosed a 2 minute video here to share some thoughts around what these affirmations might mean for you.
“The love I invest in myself comes back to me tenfold and heals the world!” Maggie Holbik
So I just came up with this quote after reading a quote from someone who I admire, Alan Cohen. Here was his quote:
“The love I invest in my relationships returns to me multiplied many times over.” Alan Cohen
I pondered on Alan’s quote, which I love by the way, and I was reminded that we must love ourselves and that our most important relationship is with ourselves.
We might want to ask a few of these questions:
Am I honoring myself?
Am I showing myself love and kindness today?
Am I thinking with a mindset that serves and empowers me?
Am I taking time today to do things that make me happy?
Am I listening to my soul and its callings?
Am I looking for beauty in my life to brighten my spirit and bring me JOY?
Feel free to add your own questions to the list. The more that we can love and appreciate our beautiful and perfect selves, the more we allow others to do the same and the more we brighten the world.
It has come to me lately, that there are 3 kinds of exhaustion we experience. One is physical, one is mental, and the third is emotional, which to me is the most draining of the three. Emotions can also be defined as energy-in-motion.
Sometimes we have all three of these types of exhaustion happening at once and that can be tough. But one of the most powerful ways to help any of these types of fatigue is by receiving emotional support.
I did a training for my fellow Infinite Possibilities Trainers the other day and it was about expanding your reach by building networks and using Facebook to do just that. During the training I shared with the students that building any kind of network is powerful. For example it takes a network to raise a child. We get support in doing this if we are lucky, from fellow family members, organizational leaders, teachers, counselors and more! It is not just us that raises our child. In fact, I came up with a new saying “It takes a family to raise a family”. 🙂
Can you see the power of a network of any kind? In particular when we get emotional support from others regardless of what we are going through in life, it is a HUGE deal and helps a lot. We are energetic beings who have energetic emotional batteries. These batteries can run low and need to be recharged regularly. The fastest way to recharging or quick charging is by getting emotional support.
There are other great ways to recharge like spending time in nature, using creativity to express your emotions and to release them into a manifested state, practicing self-care, eating well, exercising to release energetic burdens and to replenish positive energy stores, but the most powerful of all is when we feel emotionally supported.
And let’s not forget those pets! Pets are the best emotional supporters of all. 🙂

Sometimes in life, we are the supported ones and sometimes we are the supporters. Life is beautiful in this way that we can tag team support for each other on this journey here on earth.
And we must remember that it is always okay and it is in fact a very good thing to reach out and to let others know when you need some emotional support. Sometimes at these times, it is the hardest to do, but that is when we need it the most.
Anyone reading these words, please know that they are infused with both Love and Emotional Support for YOU! 🙂
Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time: for that’s the stuff life is made of.

2020 a brand new decade! A brand new play ground for YOU!
I hope 2020 encourages you to get crystal clear on what makes you happy and what you enJOY doing and to do more of that!
Each day includes 24 hours and so much of that is used for sleeping and working and hopefully loving what you do. But what about the rest of the time? Are you filling those moments with the things that really matter to you?
The moments in between the structure are truly golden moments and we must seize the golden opportunities! The beauty in these moments that please us might even be the simple ones to plan like just stopping to enJOY a cup of tea, or taking a 5 to 10 minute delicious nap, or reading to a child, reading a book, trying a new recipe… the list is endless but the point is that we MAKE these precious moments a priority in our lives….. that we recognize that we matter and the moments that matter to us most matter! 🙂
We hear the word self-care used a lot and for good reason. It is a real priority and should be always. The happier and more fulfilled we feel in life, the more we enJOY it the journey, and the more everyone around us benefits. Self-love is an energy that spreads to others and makes them feel better too! It is a beautiful thing. So the more you can do the things that bring you the greatest pleasure or that give you peace of mind, the more you have a cosmic affect on the whole. What you do for yourself you also do for others. With this in mind it might encourage you even more to honor and love yourself. In fact why not love yourself all up? 🙂
So here is an idea: Take a piece of paper out right now or grab your phone and start making a list of the more’s, or the enhancements that you are going to add into your life to increase your JOY factor.
For example:
. reading more good books
. listening to more music that makes you happy
. trying new recipes
. more walks
. more laughter
. more quite time
. more organization
. more simplicity
….. etc. etc. As always the list is endless. Get creative, honor yourself and most of all have fun with this!
Laugh Cry Smile Keys Representing Different Emotions
It is Saturday morning and I am writing this blog post to express my feelings and then I am going to go for a much needed rest. I have become very behind on my sleep and it’s starting to show in my mental and emotional health. It’s funny actually because I have been behind on my sleep because I am so excited about life but now it has taken a toll on me and is now the content of this blog post.
I was thinking how we easily share with others that we have a cold or the flu or an ache or pain, but when it comes to our emotional and mental health, we sometimes don’t share this with others and it comes out in ways that are now always positive.
Yesterday, I snapped at a store clerk and this is not like me. I surprised myself actually. I also missed an appointment I had scheduled yesterday and I had even confirmed it. I am today realizing that I am tired physically but emotionally too and I am being vulnerable enough to share this with you. Brene Brown would be proud. 🙂
“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.” “If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive.”

There are many of us walking the planet doing the best we can. We have ups and we have downs. We experience laughter and we experience tears. Life is like this. And it’s okay.
For some reason I just wanted to share this today in case someone else is having a tough time mentally or emotionally. Know that you are not alone, and that it is okay to share with those you love that you are having an extra hard time right now. In fact reach out to someone if you need to.
For me, luckily I had some family support me yesterday and this morning my daughter left me this note to cheer me up.
“You are awesome Mom and I love you sooooooooo much. Just keep being You.
Anyhow I am heading for my delightful rest now so I can begin to return to my JOYful self… I miss her. 🙂
For anyone reading this I send you much LOVE, support and most of all I wish you a JOYous day and if self-care is something you too need to schedule, I hope you do it. It is important to not only our physical health but especially our mental and emotional.
Just like the wind changes direction so can we. We can also learn to take direction…. from our SOUL! The soul knows. 🙂
If the lost traveler really needs only to slow down, pull out a map and take a moment to figure out where he is…. can those of us who’ve lost our direction in life do the same?”
deborah norville
The answer is Yes!
In our lives we all have mountains to climb, rivers to cross, and heavy weights to bear. And sometimes we fall back or slide backwards from where we want to be. And you know what? It’s okay. It’s normal in fact. It’s all good. So take a breath. Like the quote says “the lost traveler really needs only to slow down”….
And “pull out the map”….. Just get out your soul’s map and ask some questions of your higher self. But first relax and let yourself know that it is perfectly OK to be EXACTLY where you are. You are always loved because you are Love and you will return to Love.
As for the questions to help to get us back on our track? Here are a few examples to use after knowing it’s okay and it is just time to ask our soul for directions, just like we would if we were lost in a city. We would ask. Ask. Ask. Ask.
Is where I currently am JOYful to me or painful?
What baby steps can I take to change course?
What is one thing I can do to bring me a bit of JOY and move me away from this pain just for now, in this moment, in this day?
What baby steps can I take tomorrow to move me forward in a new direction?
What is one thing I can add into my life that would bring me closer to where I want to be? Is it a new friend? Is it more income? Is it a new pet? Is it a relationship I need to end? Is it an addiction I need help with? Is it a place I would like to travel to? Ask your Soul. It knows.
There are no limits to the questions you can ask your Soul. Start to learn to trust the answers. It’s simple really. Does the idea of the answer make you feel Good or Bad?Be sure to follow what feels good.
And don’t worry about the How’s of how it would come about, this exercise is about defining what you want and changing your course…..
Hey… why not even have fun with this? Why not? Life is way too serious. 🙂
Big Hugs
Woman going within and asking for direction or praying if you prefer 🙂 Both work.
I had a call from a coaching client looking for some quick tips to get him through a rough spot. For the sake of confidentiality I will call him “Ben”.
Ben called me and expressed that he was feeling inadequate in his life, in his job, and as a provider to his family.
We chatted for a while and I suggested to Ben that he be more gentle on himself and that he talk to himself as a best friend would do. I asked him what he would say to the 5 year old version of himself? He responded with something like “you will have to figure a way out of this”.
I suggested that he might say things like:
I’ve got your back.
I’m here for you.
It’s not as bad as it seems.
Together we will get through this.
I also suggested to Ben that if he could work at getting excited about what the future holds, it could help him bridge himself from his painful present. Sometimes we need a bridge to transition us and I have found that focusing on the prospect of a brighter future is sometimes better than ‘being in the Now’ when the Now is painful.
In reflecting after the call, I realized that if Ben could find JOY in his current job and life, he could give his family a gift better than he could imagine in his mind. He was worried about being a good provider, Dad, and husband. But imagine if he could show them that he can have JOY and appreciation for the work he does have currently. It would be a far greater gift for his family than seeing the weight of the world on his shoulders.
And when we shift our frequency from pain to comfort, we can start attracting more of that which is good and is a better opportunity or a better fit for us.
I hope you may find this helpful for getting through the rough spots inlife and if you need help with kindness and tenderness for yourself, this blog post I did recently may help you as well. Here is the link: https://maggiesvitamins.blog/2019/04/23/tenderness-kindness/
Be happy with what you have while working for what you want.
