Inspiration About Women on International Women’s Day

I love little girls in the morning, especially when they are bright-eyed and bushy tailed and excited about life! It’s just such a magical energy don’t you think? 🙂 Sisters My sister Stephanie loves this Margaret Mead quote below and said she thinks of my sister Barb and I when she sees it. Miracles? Always!!!

Miraculous Moments

Just yesterday I was emailing with someone who I believe, is helping me greatly with my miracle-making and miraculous strides in healing my body to pure, complete, and whole health. We were talking about how MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!

I firmly believe that miracles happen all the time! Do you know why and what seals the deal for me? Because I believe we are all a miracle to begin with!

Some people do not believe in miracles and some people, myself included, believe that everything is a Miracle!

Note the key differentiator here. It’s the WORD ‘Believe’!!!

I also believe in divine signs and confirmations and sure enough a confirmation came! I opened this email, just now in the wee hours of the night, and it is from my subscription to the ‘Notes From The Universe’ at http://www.Tut.com . You can too subscribe, if you wish, and you will receive your daily messages from the Universe! They are so lovely and uplifting to receive ❤️

“The reason most people don’t recognize the miracles that are performed on their behalf, Maggie, is because there’s just so bloomin’ many of them.

Like this very moment…

And this one…

And this one…

Ahhh-h-h-h,”

  The Universe

So there you have it folks! I hope that you too believe in miracles and that you see them every day and in every way in your JOYous life.

And for fun, I counted the amount of times that the word ‘Believe’ is in this post and it was 7, but it now 8, since adding this paragraph! 🙂 And you all know that I love the power of words! 🙂 Never underestimate the power of words my friends. Words are tools at our disposal to use to create miracles in our lives! At least I believe so. Hah, now 9 times! 😉

I love you all!

Healing With JOY Affirmations

Affirmations are not only powerful but they WORK! What I love most about affirmations is that they are ‘reminders’. This is why I like to keep them handy and to go back and read them…. to remind me and to remember that I and YOU are all-powerful! Affirmations are assistants for us. They are tools in our kit!

You can read the written affirmations here below. I also both share them and discuss their power in this 3 minute audio as well. Here is the link for that:

Listen to The Gifts of Pain!

“Those pains you feel are messengers…. Listen to them.” Rumi

Pain Is a Doorway

Pain. Pain and suffering are inevitable things that we will experience here on Earth, regardless of how much we wish to avoid it.

I try to look at pain as a prompt especially if it’s emotional pain. What is this pain telling me? What is the message? Is there something that I want to be doing that I’m not? Am I fulfilled in my life, or is there something I feel that I am missing? Am I feeling overwhelmed? Under appreciated? What do I really want?

The questions that you can ask are endless but I encourage you to probe and search to see the message that pain has for you. And sometimes when our pain is physical it’s a prompt to make changes or to have more self care. There are always messages behind pain and suffering.

I’m going to do a voice audio right now to explain a little more about how we question ourselves and access our inner guide which is as a tool for higher insight. I will post the link below and be sure to have a great day everyone!

A Very Special Date Night With Friends …

My Don, Me, Lorraine, and Don 🙂 #friends

Many of you know that every Friday night my husband and I are dedicated and committed, with JOY, to having a date night.

Well, last night was a little different than our normal date, and it was such a beautiful and welcome treat! We even brought JOY along with us… you can see from the pictures. This is my JOY Doll that I bring with me and also move around the house to remind myself that we bring JOY with us and we find the JOY. 🙂

We were invited to a friend’s house for appetizers and it was so nice because I haven’t been out in so long. The only place I’ve been going lately as I manage my Stage 4 Cancer ‘Diagnosis’ as well as recent Pandemic restrictions with visitations and the closure of businesses and such, is to my vitamin C IV therapy on Thursdays and a few grocery stores. I’m home most of the time and I really was starting to get where where I craved just sitting with people and eating food together and connecting through the heart.

Don and Lorraine are great friends to us. In fact earlier in the day Don plowed all of my snow and used the snow blower and shovel to make a path to my little lake house so that I could get out if I needed and my support workers could get in to help me.

We had the most lovely evening and we visited over appetizers. I had an APPETITE and I don’t always so this was really, really JOYful to me!

In fact, at one point I wept with JOY just for the experience and to be able to eat and sit with these beautiful people. I had to just stop and let my emotions pass which I have learned is OK to do. In fact it is necessary for healthy emotional Detox.

Human connection is so important for us and we need to have that. One of the things that I have found on my new journey, is that food is one of the most pleasurable and JOYous experiences here on Earth and it is something that I miss the absolute most when I cannot eat or cannot get an appetite.

I also have found it challenging to even try to explain to people what it feels like to just want to have an appetite! To just want to! You just want to be able to smell food and not have an adversion to it. You want to be able to salivate and prepare for the JOYous experience of eating and when you don’t have that it’s like one of the vital life forces has been taken from you.

Anyhow, my Friends last night I was lucky and I had it all, time with my favorite man, time laughter and sharing with good friends and food. I hope that you too take time for food and connection with others in your life and I love you all! And please enJOY this short audio clip that I have made just for YOU! Here it is:

♥ What Do HOPE & Lake Superior Have in Common? â™¥

Everything is meant to be!

Several years ago I picked up these two candleholders at the Farmer’s Market. I gravitated to these two in particular. The pictures do not them justice. The colors are much more vibrant in real life and the HOPE one looks to have pretty purple amethyst at the bottom. These candles have gel in them and you use replaceable tea lights in them.

Flashback to when I got these. I did not have a Cancer Diagnosis and I did not have a place on Lake Superior!

Flash ahead. I was diagnosed in March of 2021 with stage 4 Incurable Colon Cancer and guess what the first thing I looked for? It was HOPE! I even Googled HOPE!

Flash ahead. I spend my days at my little lake house on the shores of Lake Superior ebbing and flowing to the needs of my body, mind and spirit at this time. I call this my ‘Healing House’.

This whole thing reminds me every day that I am exactly where I need to be and that I am SUPPOSED to be here on this particular journey at this particular time in my life and it helps me to accept everything with GRACE!

I feel this often. I feel like this is perfectly matched to my soul and what is supposed to happen. It gives me comfort. And when I am in comfort I am not in resistance. And when I am not in resistance I am not in pain. I am in PEACE.

I do not feel as though I am a victim and I trust that I am divinely guided on this journey now and always.

ᗯᕼᗩT ᗩᗷOᑌT YOᑌ?

Do you feel that things happen to you? Or for you? Do you trust that things are always working for your highest good? Or do you resist and struggle? I think this is where the word ‘Faith’ would come into play. We need to have faith that our soul knows the reasons we call to us experiences on this journey called LIFE. Life is sweeter because of the hardships, although not easy. I hope that when you are in your times of struggle you too can keep your faith and use grace as a conduit for peace.

💎💎💎I love you all now and to eternity.💎💎💎

The MOST Important Thing For Me on My Journey with Stage IV Cancer

My Talk With My Daughter Yesterday

Yesterday was the day that my 15-year-old daughter and I had a very emotional talk about my journey with cancer. We shared, we cried, we hugged and we both got a deeper understanding of each other’s feelings and where everything is at, as we know it. I let Sivanna ask any questions about anything at all that she had. We both shared how we felt in March, along the way and now. It was an open, transparent conversation that unfolded perfectly and it prompted me to write this blog post that I have been meaning to write for quite some time.

It may in fact be the most important post, for me, that I will ever write as part of my writing legacy and on my journey with cancer.

What Is This Important Thing That I Speak of?

From day one on my journey which started with a trip to the emergency department on March 6 of 2021, I have felt this….

After I learned of my diagnosis of Stage 4 Uncurable Cancer, and after I processed it all, what I realized that I both needed and wanted most, was this:

Throughout it all, I want and have wanted from Day 1, is for my Husband to continue to be my Husband and for my Daughter to be my Daughter, and what I mean by this is that I needed them and still do, to be who they are in their roles in life. I want them both to be happy and doing what they love, working and attending school, engaging in life and doing the things that 15-year-olds and Dads enJOY doing!

There is no way I could handle everything being revolved around me and my cancer. And yesterday, Sivanna and I talked about this. I explained that this whole experience is new to me and I was learning and processing as I went along. What helped me most was that they are my rocks and they keep my spirit high when they are living THEIR lives to the fullest.

In retrospect, I am soooooo very glad that we did not sit down as a family in March and say something like “Okay family meeting. Mom’s got Stage 4 Incurable Cancer and then we would all be devasted and the world would start to revolve around me and my disease. I so did not want that so the way it rolled was perfect.

As my favorite Doctor says “This experiment has never been done before”. This means we don’t know how this will unfold for me given MY body and what I am doing etc. So we have all processed and dealt with this as we have gone along and I feel it has been the best way to handle it, for us anyways. It has allowed life to go on because it does! Life goes on no matter what is happening and I want my peeps to be in JOY! I know we all have to let our feelings express themselves but we don’t need to become obsessed with the disease. The disease takes away enough on its own.

I explained to Sivanna that I NEVER want her to have any regrets, now or in the future. For example, I said maybe we talk about spending time together and you tell me that you are chilling and watching TikTok videos. I say “Great!” That is what my daughter is enJOYing… just being her 15-year old self!

I have no NEED for having to spend time together for the sake of just thinking we should. I also shared that if she is doing something that she enJOYs and if a thought strikes her like “OMG my Mom has cancer!”and thinking she should be sad, to stop and say “No it’s okay for me to be happy right now”. Now my friends this is what I want the most for my daughter and all of those who love me.

One of The Hardest Things About Cancer

One of the hardest parts about cancer is telling those you love. It took me a long time to spill the beans to everyone and for some, it was through a blog post. I can tell you that I can still see the look in the eyes of everyone that I told in person and those are the hardest conversations I ever had in my entire life! It had to be done in stages because it is just too painful to see the pain in others and to hear it in their voices. This disease affects everyone in your circle, it is not a stand-alone thing.

So to all of you reading this today or in the future, no matter what turn life throws you, make a choice. Choose not to let it become your life. Try not to let it consume the life and happiness of everyone around you. It really is much easier this way, I promise.

And as always and in all ways, I love you all!

And if you would like to learn about my last wish and legacy you can do so here:

It Is So Much More Than A Sandwich!

Look What I Was Graced With!

Many of you know that I love little tea sandwiches. These sandwiches come by many names. Funeral Sandwiches I am guessing is probably the second most popular to ‘Tea Sandwiches’. Call them what you will, just don’t call me late for the sandwiches! 🙂 I can skip the desserts but bring on the sandwiches! Nom Nom.

I had recently made a post on FB about my love of these adorable morsels and look what that law of attraction led to! Complete with the pickle center piece! 🙂

A try of beautiful tea sandwiches fingers and pin wheels!

I Am So Loved

So on this past Sunday my sister Barb called me asking if she could drop off a tray of goodies for me. It turns out she has a group of friends who have gotten together for years on and off and call themselves the DMACS. They have a mascot and everything. 🙂 They have been meeting since 1996. You would have to ask them what the DMACS means but whatever they do it sounds like they get together and support each other in life and do nice things like making sandwiches like these. And they all have their specialty sandwich. Now how cool is that?

And I know that these sandwiches were indeed made with LOVE!

I also got these!

A beautiful bouquet of flowers

Anyhow this was such a nice treat for me! I had been dreaming (seriously) of little sandwiches like these for the past several weeks! I think a lot about food these days. It is one of the JOYs that I have left, even if it is just thinking and dreaming about it (I don’t always have an appetite even if I want to 🙂 )

I am so glad also that I am enJOYing these sammies from the comfort of my home and not at a funeral, especially mine ha ha! I am having my own little sandwich fest here!

Anyhow, thank you to all of the beautiful ladies who did this! It means more than you will ever know. It truly is ‘more than a sandwich’. It’s love, compassion, kindness, thoughtfulness, caring, and is what life is all about. Thank you once again.
