Why do I let my light shine? And why should you let your beautiful light shine?
During my morning feeding of my soul, I contemplated this very question and was inspired through some work of Matt Kahn. I will share my thoughts here today.
Matt talks about giving and receiving and that giving is receiving and receiving is giving. I really resonate with that and I know this to be true. When I give to others I receive that which I give. If I show love to someone, I feel more loved and loving. If I give kindness to others and they receive it, I receive it too!
And then I started thinking about loving ourselves and about letting our glorious and beautiful souls, spirits and personalities out to shine for all the world to see. Matt talks about when we let ourselves shine we allow others to shine too! It really is win-win.
But then I thought, I work at shining to help me too. I try to shine so that I bring light to my own darkness, my own doubts, my own fears, and my own insecurities and struggles. To put it another way, I shine light to dissipate my personal pain and suffering.
I am learning from Matt’s work that the fear and the pain are divine too and this has helped me to better love what is and to move through it easier.
To sum it up this whole thought process of mine it is this:
If we let our lights shine, we heal ourselves from pain and suffering and we fill in the dark spaces with light and then in turn we shine and lead the way for others to also do this. We become a beacon of light and one by one we awaken this truth in others and then our lights radiate farther and wider and that very love and light is infused into the hearts of many.
If you are reading this today, please know that these words are infused with much divine and immense LOVE & LIGHT for you!
So do your part and let your light shine okay? You’ve got this!
With Much Love
Maggie
