It Is So Much More Than A Sandwich!

Look What I Was Graced With!

Many of you know that I love little tea sandwiches. These sandwiches come by many names. Funeral Sandwiches I am guessing is probably the second most popular to ‘Tea Sandwiches’. Call them what you will, just don’t call me late for the sandwiches! 🙂 I can skip the desserts but bring on the sandwiches! Nom Nom.

I had recently made a post on FB about my love of these adorable morsels and look what that law of attraction led to! Complete with the pickle center piece! 🙂

I Am So Loved

So on this past Sunday my sister Barb called me asking if she could drop off a tray of goodies for me. It turns out she has a group of friends who have gotten together for years on and off and call themselves the DMACS. They have a mascot and everything. 🙂 They have been meeting since 1996. You would have to ask them what the DMACS means but whatever they do it sounds like they get together and support each other in life and do nice things like making sandwiches like these. And they all have their specialty sandwich. Now how cool is that?

And I know that these sandwiches were indeed made with LOVE!

I also got these!

A beautiful bouquet of flowers

Anyhow this was such a nice treat for me! I had been dreaming (seriously) of little sandwiches like these for the past several weeks! I think a lot about food these days. It is one of the JOYs that I have left, even if it is just thinking and dreaming about it (I don’t always have an appetite even if I want to 🙂 )

I am so glad also that I am enJOYing these sammies from the comfort of my home and not at a funeral, especially mine ha ha! I am having my own little sandwich fest here!

Anyhow, thank you to all of the beautiful ladies who did this! It means more than you will ever know. It truly is ‘more than a sandwich’. It’s love, compassion, kindness, thoughtfulness, caring, and is what life is all about. Thank you once again.

Love & Loving Kindess

“Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.”

Kahil Gibran

When I think about the most soothing moments in my life, they are the ones where I felt love and that I was also shown love.

I really do believe that we are here on this spiritual journey to express love and to expand our ability to love and to receive love, because we are love. That is who we are. We are love expressing itself. And along with that comes beauty and JOY and compassion…. so many wonderful things.

Lately my favorite words are “loving kindness.” Even if I book myself a medical appointment for a diagnostic or something, I put it in my calendar as my “Loving Kindness Scan” or whatever it is.

I am purposely seeing all people and situations around me as opportunities for me to receive love and well-being from others regardless of their physical role in my life.

When we do this, we can then expand our ability to take in and receive love and that is a good thing because then we have more to give too. 🙂 Awesome all around.

I am sending lots of LOVE your way today too! Can you feel it? 🙂

Be Great! Be YOU! Serve!

“Everyone has an opportunity to be great because everyone has an opportunity to serve”. Don Perry

Serving is simple. Do for another. That’s it.

. do Kindess

. do Love

. do Helping

. do Smiling

. do Compassion

. do Serving

…… just do Something 🙂

I hope that you enJOYed today’s blog post. I found this quote in my Facebook memories today and it was written or stated by my honey, Don, in 2011. I thought it was pretty cool. 🙂

Kindness

Studies have shown the very act of being kind to someone else leaves the giver with feelings of energy and well-being they were not experiencing before the kind act.

World Kindness Day – Do These Two Things Today! ♥

World Kindness Day 2020

Today is world kindness day and here are two ideas for you for today.

#1 – Be Kind to Yourself! ♥♥♥

The world needs more kindness right here and right now and it starts in this moment. The first thing to do, is to be kind to yourself. Do whatever you need to do to show yourself kindness right now.

Tell yourself that you love yourself, you forgive yourself, you appreciate yourself, you adore yourself, you have compassion for yourself, or whatever comes to mind that is kind. Just do it!

It is very, very important for us to activate the vibration of kindness within ourselves because it not only helps us but it helps and heals the entire planet and all of the beautiful people who are our brothers and sisters.

And remember the beautiful quote from the late Ram Dass, “We are all just walking each other home”. So let’s walk in kindness I say. 🙂

#2 – Reach Out & Be Kind to Someone Else! ♥♥♥

Right now reach out to someone and show them an act of kindness. Send them a message, make a phone call, or give someone a hug and tell them you love them. It does not matter what act of kindness you do, just do something.

I often think of the stories you hear where one small act of kindness changed someone’s day or even sometimes saved their life! Whether it was a random smile from a stranger of someone helping someone at a time of need. It all counts and every act of kindness is a HUGE act of kindness.

So go right now and don’t wait another second .... go and do that act of kindness to brighten someone’s day. It will affect both you and them.

And may we remember today and everyday moving forward that every act of kindness is indeed a HUGE act of kindness.

The Small Things ARE The Big Things

This morning a friend and I were having a telephone conversation. It came around to the topic of how important appreciation is. We were actually discussing business and life.

Somehow we ended up talking about the simple acts of kindness that make a huge difference. My friend, Teresa, mentioned that she often offers solicitors that come to her door, in the hot summer, water, or a snack. She mentioned one particular time when she gave one solicitor a few Kind bars and a bottle of water. He was so happy he didn’t even care that she didn’t want what he was selling. lol 🙂

But all joking aside, the small acts of kindness DO make the biggest difference. I started talking about things such as offering food or drinks to the people that come to your home to service or repair your home’s ailments, giving up your seat on public transit, or a smile from a random stranger when you need it most . There are so many small acts of kindness that do make a huge difference.

I said you can give someone a million dollars and think that is a huge deal but sometimes just that smile that you need on a day when you feel you can’t go on anymore is an even bigger deal! That random smile could really save a life.

We both started to cry in this conversation and that is when I really knew how big of a deal small, random acts of kindness are.

Make you find it in your heart today to both give and receive kindness……. ❤ ❤ ❤

Much Love to All!

Maggie

Kindness Quotes Just Because

I expect to pass through the world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to my fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”

Love. Live. Love

Often I am commenting on posts that I really, really, like and I like put “Love, Love, Love!” in the comments to show how much I like it. 🙂

The interesting thing is that almost all the time, I misspell one of the Loves and it goes something like this. “Love, Live, Love”. And I say to myself something like “oh I made a mistake” but my heart always says “No, it’s perfect!” Love, Live, Love!!!

I got to thinking about this and it is so true! If we don’t have love in our lives, especially for ourselves, we cannot truly live! We are comprised of love. Every cell in our body is and came from love and will return to love. Today in my morning meditation I saw every cell in my body as littles tiny hearts. ❤ ❤ ❤ It was a great visual.

If we want to fast tract our lives to a JOYous journey here on earth or to a blissful state, then we need to fast track our love of self.

This morning when I opened FB I saw a this beautiful post from my friend Paul Luftenger. Paul is a Multi Award Winning Published Singer Songwriter In 120+ Countries

“Paul Writes, Sings, and Composes Conscious Music To Inspire Global Love & Kindness From Within – Powerful Conscious Music Always Supporting The Heart & Soul To Feel and Know Its Beauty and Divine Holy Worth From The Inside Out!”

Paul is one of my favorite people and in his FB post this morning he wrote this. I can’t help but share it here because it is on point:

From Paul’s FB Post:

“What I wish all human beings on earth knew today.

To be kind and gentle and loving to oneself.

To stop pointing fingers at others by embracing the light of love and kindness from within oneself.

I have learned that the real pain of the world comes from one place…the space within oneself projected out on others without regard or responsibility of one’s own energy or vibration. It is the biggest lie ever told.

Healthy people have healthy hearts and healthy souls; they don’t harm others – but rather embrace the self healing process from within oneself.

I have learned in my 42 years of being human that the one person that has to be loved and forgiven is the hardest person to fully embrace and love, and that is oneself.

I use to be so hard on him.

I use to tell him he couldn’t sing or dance or be free.

I use to scold him for being scared.

I use to belittle him for all the stupid choices he had made.

I use to tell him he was weak.

I use to feel he wasn’t smart enough…. or that he was too stupid or too pathetic or too gay or too ugly…..until one day I embraced him for all the things he was…it came to be known after I prayed to God for help on the day my father hung himself….I was shown by God to love the spark of God that he was…. for he was shown that he was a piece of God….. and I began to love the child he once was… the gift to the world he had forgotten he was and day by day his light began to be brighter….and brighter….and brighter.

That precious child within me healed all of my wounds with God’s pure loving grace through letting go and taking the knife away from his own throat.

Each time I cried to God in my darkness, I begged God to show me the way…and God did.

Each day God picked me up out of the mud and pain and shame of my life and showed me I could shine my light. Some people hated me for it… some told me I wasn’t good enough and tried to destroy me….some people discarded me for it… but each day God showed my that my soul was meant to shine and that those who were cruel to me, like me, had forgotten that they could shine from their heart and soul too.

I loved that precious little boy in me whole again with God’s pure love, and the stains of the self hatred started to disappear and vanish from within me…. I began to self illuminate my life from my heart and soul working together reminding others of the light within them.

That little boy is now a man…and one I am so proud to be. When I look at myself in the mirror now, I see all the love that my heart and soul was able to spread.

I have learned that love really is the superpower in the world and it begins with obeying God and trusting and having faith in his way…

Love your enemy, and obey God, by loving yourself again…. by being honest and responsible for the energy you create by being the heart and soul that is within you.

You are not what the world told you you are. You are free of all of that once you claim it.

This is what I know for sure.

Love.

Love…

Love… and be kind to the little boy or the little girl within you.”

Paul Luftenegger

Well that was a beautiful way to start my day. Reading Paul’s post and then I commented with my famous typo “Love, Live, Love”, which seemed perfect, of course, and led me to this blog post. Everything is divinely perfect when we open to the flow of universal LOVE.

Have an amazing day everyone. I send you nothing but LOVE and I hope you LIVE LOVE today.
