Lakers On The Great Lakes

A picture of The Sleeping Giant with the quote “Lakers” are ships designed for the Great Lakes on North America. The lake carrier’s long and flat shape reveals its basic purpose – to move bulk cargoes through the St. Lawrence Seaway and Great Lakes, a total distance of almost 4000 km

Why Not UNchoose?

Maggie, no matter the temptation, you no longer think or say, “I’m anxious,” “I’m hurt,” or “I’m angry.” Because each of these feelings are choices, that can be unchosen, instead of reinforced. And you will be amazed,   The Universe This was my beautiful note from the Universe the other morning and I quite loved it.โ€ฆ

The Past is Real or is it?

Good morning everyone! I wanted to share with you how I felt when I read these words from Byron Katie. But before I do, just to share some good news, I figured out another technological hack and here is the audio link from SoundCloud which is exactly the same verbal content as this written blogโ€ฆ

ANNOUNCING

Last week I asked for help from my Facebook friends. I am entering a photo contest and needed to name two of my submissions, but found myself stumped so I reached out and boy did I get a lot of great ideas from my friends.

It was a tough call but in the end these two were my most favorite. Here they are:

.

“Stone Cold Beauty” by my good friend Natalie Smith

Another Sunset Capture

A sunset on the shores of Lake Superior in Canada

I snapped this shot last night with my phone. I love the pink hues on the snow. There is so much beauty where I live and I enJOY it everyday.

Mountain Ash Beauty

Mountain Ash Tree Loaded with Berries hanging low

I snapped this picture the other day with my phone. I thought it was a nice one. This is the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, in the background.

These berries look so beautiful. I did a little googling about the mountain ash tree. I never realized the amazing health benefits of the berries. Here is a link to more info: https://www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-571/mountain-ash but in a nutshell:

Mountain Ash is a plant. People use the berries to make medicine. The berries may be used fresh, dried, or cooked and then dried. People take mountain ash for treating kidney disease, diabetes, arthritis, low levels of vitamin C (vitamin C deficiency), diarrhea, and menstrual problems.

I for one am going to get me some of these berries. The birds know how good these are.

I hope you enJOYed my picture today and also learning, if you did not know, how amazing mountain ash berries are!

Such Beauty on The Shores of Lake Superior

Sunset on Lake Superior April 22, 2019

I snapped this picture the other day using my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus and thought it was just gorgeous!

This picture is the sun setting on Lake Superior in Shuniah township. To the right in the picture is the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Thunder Bay has a population of about 110,000 people and is a nestled in the middle of Canada. It is bordered by Lake Superior, one of the 5 great lakes all of which are freshwater, accounting for 1/5 of the freshwater surface on the planet.

According to Wikipedia:

Lake Superior (Frenchlac SupรฉrieurOjibwe: แ‘ญแ‘ฆแ’‰แ-แ‘ฒแ’ฃแ, translit.Gitchi-Gami), the largest of the Great Lakes of North America, is also the world’s largest freshwater lake by surface area, and the third largest freshwater lake by volume. The lake is shared by the Canadian province of Ontario to the north, the U.S. state of Minnesota to the west, and Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to the south. [6] The farthest north and west of the Great Lakes chain, Superior has the highest elevation of all five great lakes and drains into the St. Mary’s River.

I’ve had people reach out to me about painting this picture and I hope they do! I love that we can share the beauty in the world… and on that note, feel free to share this blog post showing the glorious colours produced by nature’s sunsets in this beautiful part of the world. EnJOY!

Crystals, Lake Superior, Nature, Photography

Blue Ice Crystals

blueicecrystals

This beautiful display was my view this morning on the last day of January. Lake Superior never disappoints and offers opportunities to take one’s breath away on a daily basis.

Lately I have been drawn even more so to the crystals in my life.  Having named my coaching business “Crystal Clear Coaching” many years ago, it seems fitting. However, I did not understand the true beauty of the way crystal formations can and do appear in nature.

I like to think of these crystals formations as conduits to beauty, clarity and divine offerings….

Oh Great Lake Superior

A Poem composed and written by me on the shores of Lake Superior where I have found my inspiration and creativity flourishing.

For the audio version listen here:

Oh Great Lake Superior.

I did not know I would fall so deepโ€ฆ

So deep in love with you!

Or how deep your rapture would in turn capture my soul.

I now long and yearn for you when together or apart.

You share with me your beauty.

And it goes straight to my heart.

You show me your many faces.

All of which are unique and pleasing to the eye.

I now know why artists listen to your waves and point their cameras in your midst.

You are relentless in your offerings of beauty and divine prowess.

Your treasures are timeless and the delight you offer is legendary.

Oh how my soul thanks you!
