Grateful & Graceful

QUOTE: “When times are good, be grateful, and when times are tough, be graceful.” Anonymous

Words have such depth and meaning to them especially when you really lean in to the energy and frequency of them. They are magical really.

Do you notice that for example, when you even say the word “Grace”, it even feels graceful? 🙂

Not only saying the words but using them in our daily life helps us to access the true frequencies of what they imply.

I love living my life with ‘Grace’. And how about ‘Ease’? Another great word to incorporate the energy of in your daily life.

This might be something to ponder on…. accessing the tremendous potential of the frequencies in words!

Have an AMAZING day my friends!

Gratitude, My Cancer Journey

My Early Morning Hospital Visit Today

So I had an early morning ultrasound at the hospital today. It was -28 degrees on a Sunday morning and my appointment was at 7 am. I originally tried to get this appointment changed to a different time because I always say, not another ‘red eye’, but I sucked it up and took it.

And WOW, what an awesome morning it was. I set my alarm at the little lake house for 6 am and I was actually awake early. And do you know why I was so happy this morning?

I felt good! My car started without being plugged in!

When I went outside to go to the car my breath was taken away by the stars in the sky! I was driving myself to my appointment. I was independent and healthy enough to do so!

My heated seat…. oh so Glorious!

On the way, I admired some Christmas lights that were still on at people’s houses along beautiful Lakeshore Drive.

When I got to the basically empty hospital, I saw this beautiful tree!

When I got up to the Diagnostic Imaging area, they were just opening the doors for the day. They were opening the doors for ME... to help me, to serve me and care for me…. for me. Wow. I was honored. All of these people along my journey were working to help and care for me and for others on this first Sunday in 2022.

I was in and out in no time.

You know there is something about the early mornings that makes them so special and serene.

Anyhow, thanks for listening to my ‘stream of gratitude’, and thank you to all of you who help me along my journey. I love you all!

Why Not UNchoose?

Maggie, no matter the temptation, you no longer think or say, “I’m anxious,” “I’m hurt,” or “I’m angry.” Because each of these feelings are choices, that can be unchosen, instead of reinforced. And you will be amazed,   The Universe This was my beautiful note from the Universe the other morning and I quite loved it.…

The Past is Real or is it?

Good morning everyone! I wanted to share with you how I felt when I read these words from Byron Katie. But before I do, just to share some good news, I figured out another technological hack and here is the audio link from SoundCloud which is exactly the same verbal content as this written blog…

Gratitude, serving others, thoughts are things

A New Twist on Gratitude!

A comment I made on a Facebook Posts in regard to what I am grateful for: “When I learned that thoughts are things and I then became Empowered and FREE!”

I am sure we have all seen how people, myself included, have made posts on Facebook or on other social media platforms asking people to mention what they are grateful for that day.

Well this was the answer I gave today and I love it!

This is so true! When I learned that thoughts are things and I could use my thoughts in any way that I wanted, I was FREE! I was free to be me. I was free of the thoughts that cause me pain because I could let those ‘things’ go and choose new ones. I was free, free, free as a bird!

Happy man with his arms out and his back to us with lots of birds around him… he looks FREE

New Level!

I am also taking this whole gratitude thing to a new level. For example, instead of being grateful for the things and experiences in my life, which I am, I am also grateful for the things that I can do for other people!!!!

Just yesterday I posted in response to one of those types of posts that I was happy that I could bring JOY to other people. Now this way of thinking has taken my Gratitude Thinking to a whole new level!

What are you grateful for that you can do for others? What are you grateful for that you can do for the world?

🙂 I hope you take some time today to get into this next level of gratitude and may the force be with you.

Have a great day everyone!

World Gratitude Day

A picture of a woman with arms open wide facing the fading sun with the words on the picture “Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. There is ALWAYS something that you can find to be grateful for…..

I found it interesting that today is World Gratitude Day because when I discovered it, I was lying in bed doing my morning reading and today I felt the need to go back to the book I am reading called “The Magic” by Rhonda Byrne and it is all about gratitude and using it to create magic in your life.

In fact, I had gone to Facebook to post this picture I made this morning while reading the book… I like to do this as I see quotes that I resonate with.

A picture graphic that I made with the sun streaming through the forest and the quote “When you direct gratitude toward something or someone, you will feel it even more and your gratitude will have even more power, and create even more magic!” Book by Rhonda Byrne “The Magic”

I thought this was uncanny when after posting this, that I discovered that it was World Gratitude Day.

This is something I am working on diligently…. the art of more gratitude in my life. The magic really does work when you apply the discipline of gratitude in your life. And there really is always something to be grateful for.

I was sharing on a networking call last week my technique that I use when I have challenges and how I turn them around to gratitude. For example, I can give you one for today that uses my technique:

Last night I drained my hot tub and refilled it. Now I have an air lock that I need to fix and it is a bit frustrating. So how I got myself over the frustration (here is the technique), I became grateful for having the hot tub in the first place. I call this ‘getting behind the problem’. I would not have this problem if I was not fortunate enough to have this hot tub!

This strategy always helps me. I have used it in many ways. Another example is when my daughter was little and she was sick and up in the night. Although tired I became grateful that I was gifted a child that I could care for when they were sick. I then became honored to do so because of the gratitude that flooded my body and being.

Gratitude truly is magical and I for one, will be using it more and more and more, because the more you use it, the more you get and the more you get, the more the magic and miracles start occurring in your life.

Happy World Gratitude Day my friends and I hope that you too reach for gratitude often…. I am grateful for each and everyone on of YOU….

Another Tool To Help us Have More PEACE~

Every morning I try to read or listen to something that helps my spirit to be uplifted and ultimately so that I have more peace of mind and peace in my body. I especially do this in times of fear or stress. It is my way of shifting my frequency from fear to love and to freedom.

The Magic

Yesterday I started reading a very, very good book called “The Magic” by Rhonda Byrne. Rhonda also wrote the book, “The Secret”.

Gratitude

Anyhow, I am doing the daily gratitude list she suggests for 28 days. I am on day 2 and thought I would share today’s gratitude list here. I actually, without realizing it, did 13 instead of 10. Awesome. The more the better and I am confident that I will not run out of ideas. It really does get easier the more you do it.

Here is my list of 13 for today:

Day 2 Gratitude List

I am grateful

🙏

for my stainless steel serving spoon I found at the thrift store because it serves me well and helps me to nourish my family and my own body.

I am grateful for the birds that sing to and for me each day. I rejoice in their song and delight in the divine music they create.

I am grateful to have ears that hear to enJOY the birds and other sounds because they give me JOY

I am grateful for opportunities, sometimes called challenges, that allow me to reflect on what is truly important to me. It helps me clarifiy my life’s purpose and I get to know more of what I really want in my life.

I am grateful for gratitude because it shifts my frequency away from fear and into peace.

I am grateful for rocks because they are a JOY to look at and to hold. Today I appointed one of my favorite rocks to be my Gratitude Rock. It fits in my hand nicely. It is smooth and best of all it is irregular. I picked this one on purpose to remind myself that life is not always smooth but that I can find gratitude in life and even in every situation, no matter how dark or scary it seems. There is always a light. There is always something I can find to be grateful for. This gives me peace.

My Gratitude Rock, smooth and irregular

On a side note about the rock. I was thinking I should get a rock and make it my gratitude rock and then I opened my reading app to start reading The Magic book and the very page I turned to was exactly this exercise! I love signs and confirmations!

From the book:

“In the beginning of working with these practices, it takes concentrated days in a row to make gratitude a habit. Anything that reminds you to be grateful is helping you turn your life into gold with gratitude, and that’s exactly what this magical practice is about. Lee Brower presented the gratitude rock practice in The Secret film and book, when he told us the story of the father of a dying child who used a gratitude rock to be grateful for his son’s health, and his son made a miraculous recovery. Since then the gratitude rock has been a proven success with many people the world over, who have used it for money, healing, and happiness. First, find a rock or a stone. Choose a small size that fits in the palm of your hand and that you can close your fingers around. Choose a rock that is smooth, without sharp edges, not too weighty, and that feels really good in your hand when you hold it. You can find a Magic Rock from your garden if you have one, or from a riverbed, creek, ocean, or park. If you don’t have easy access to any of these places, then ask your neighbors, family, or friends. You may even have a precious rock or stone al- ready that you can use as your Magic Rock.”

Well I now have my very own Magic Rock and it rocks! Now back to my list:

I am grateful for this Note App on my phone because it makes my life easier and helps me to be more organized which brings more ease to my life.

I am grateful for my blog. It will give me JOY to post my 13 gratitude items there today.

I am grateful for the sunshine today and always.  The sun warms my heart and makes me feel happy.

I am grateful for Rhonda Byrne’s book The Magic because this is where I am actively working on gratitude in my daily life.

I am grateful for my feet. They support my body and they take me on great adventures.

I am grateful for love in my heart. It gives me peace and reminds me that I am more than my body.

I am grateful for my thoughts and that I can use them to shift my very thinking and this gives me peace of mind when I need it.

And that is my list for today my friends. And do you know what else I am grateful for?

YOU! You my friends. Thank you for taking your time today to read my words. You have warmed my heart and added to my well of gratitude.

Oh yes and after doing our list, we must say the magic words 3 times! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!

Blessings to all…

Moving Away From Guilt & Shame

“Energy is everything. You can control your vibration and energy with your thoughts.

Love is the ultimate healer and transformer of energy, and guilt and shame are the lowest frequency emotions.”

Christie Marie Sheldon

I love the work of Christie Marie Sheldon and I apply it to my own life on a daily basis. Of course, some days are easier than others. 🙂

Guilt & Shame

I have been a person who my entire life, has worked at moving away from guilt and shame. Guilt and shame can come in many forms. Even inadequacy can make one feel guilty or shameful.

I decided to write about this today to help us all to become more aware of our emotions and how they affect us.

For exampe, in his book “Power Verses Force”, Dr. David Hawkins has an emotional chart that shows the calibration of energy when it comes to emotions. It is referred to as a ‘Scale of Consciousness’. On this scale, guilt and shame are at the very bottom of the scale. What is on the top? Enlightenment and under that Peace, JOY, and Love.

So the lowest is Shame and the highest is Enlightenement.

Dr. David Hawkins The Vibrations Scale

When we understand that emotions can be scaled and that the higher that we vibrate on that scale, the more we will attract into our lives positive experiences and feelings, the more important it becomes to actively and purposely move ourselves up the scale.

One of the easiest ways to shift your frequency and to move up the scale is to find gratitude in things. I always try to start my day in gratitude and today was no exception. Here is a picture of my morning. This is Bella, my cat, lying on my chest, purring away while I laid in bed and enJOYed the start of my day.

Not only did I enJOY Bella’s cuddles but I fed my mind its morning breakfast by listening to some of the work of Christie Marie which inspired me to write this blog post.

My pretty Calico cat named Bella lying on my chest on the wake of a beautiful and glorious new day here on earth.

It is always important to remember that “Thoughts are Things”. This is the core concept of my Infinite Possibilties work that I share with students and clients. It is very important to understand this and to use your thoughts as tools to enhance your life rather than to be a detriment to your happiness and well-being.

The best thoughts you can have to heal and transform are loving thoughts. Gratitude is a loving thought. Blessing something is a very high vibration and a loving thought. By thinking kind thoughts of both yourself and others, you can transform your world and the lives of others, and in turn the entire planet.

Become a master of your thoughts and be sure to feed your mind on a daily basis. By feeding your mind positive and uplifting information you also change your frequency and feed your soul.

MMM MMM

Have a great day everyone! I Bless you all with

Gratitude, Happiness

On Happiness

Happiness is a State of Mind and a Way of Being

Going through life in a happy state makes life so much easier. I’ve bet you’ve seen people stay positive and happy while going through tragic situations. You’ve seen images from around the world of people with absolutely nothing, yet they are smiling and laughing.

Have you ever wondered how these people can be happy despite everything that’s happening to them and those they love?

It’s because they choose to be happy.

According to Marcus Aurelius, “Happiness depends on the quality of your thoughts.” Scientists have been studying happiness for a long time and there is a consensus that Marcus’s view is correct. I am all about thoughts and controlling our thoughts. My own quote is “I control my thoughts, they don’t control me”. 🙂

So, instead of asking why these people are happy, maybe we should be asking how can we be happy, regardless of any circumstance?

Here are a few ways to help you find more happiness.

Take Control

If something is making you unhappy, know that you have the power to change it and to change your thoughts about it. Do it right away! Don’t give it more time to drag you down. Start taking action to address the issue and fix it.

If you’re unhappy with a situation or a person and you have no way to change it, ask yourself if you really need it in your life? Is this person or situation serving your for you highest good? Sometimes you have to let go in order to be happy.

Find a Solution

If there’s a problem, there is a solution and that is awesome news! You may not have the power to fix the problem, but someone does. Find the solution and implement it. Remember, sometimes the solution is acceptance. This is especially true if the real solution requires someone else to accomplish it. Accept that you need help and ask for it. Your happiness is worth it.

Don’t Disregard Your Emotions

It’s never a good idea to hide your true feelings when it comes to happiness. Being happy doesn’t mean you’re void of other emotions. It means being content and in charge of as much of your life as possible. Feel the feelings but move toward feelings and thoughts that make you feel good.

Live Without Expectations & Judgments

One of the biggest killers of happiness is expectations. When you make decisions and do things without expecting something in return, you give yourself the freedom to make choices based on what you want, rather than what others say you should want. You take control of your decisions. You reduce the chances of feeling anger or disappointment in the expected outcome. You allow yourself to live in the moment and enjoy life. And actively work at letting go of judging things, people, etc. Judging immediately takes your frequency to a place that is the opposite of Love and freedom.

And Finally

If you’re still not convinced, look around the world. You’ll see many people who have much less than you and yet are still happy. It may seem they have no real reason to be happy and yet they are. You too can be happy. You just need to set your mind to it. Work each day to feel gratitude. Take control of what you can and don’t worry about what you cannot. Enjoy the life you’ve been given. And always remember “there is no road to happiness, happiness is the road.”

Gratitude, Joy

JOY & Gratitude

Joy is the simplest form of gratitude… JOY – my favorite word. 🙂

I love this quote. It is so simple and true. When we experience JOY we immediately feel gratitude. They go hand in hand.

This is another reason why I am always encouraging others to find JOY, to seek JOY, to be JOY.

The more JOY, the more gratitude and like attracts like so go for more!

JOY

anxiety, Gratitude, Stress Relief, worry

From Worry to Peace – Change Trains!

Do you ever find yourself waking up to a train of thoughts about your day or your life? Does your mind race? Do these thoughts produce anxiety for you? Do you have thoughts something like I wish I didn’t start thinking this morning or I just want to go back to sleep?

We all have these thoughts as we start to wake up and start thinking about what we have to do, what is on or mind, or what we are currently worrying about. It’s common. The good news is that we can use this same technique of running thoughts to our advantage! Woo hoo!

What do I mean by this? Think of your thoughts like a train. They are moving and going from the next stop to the next or from thought to thought. They are moving and gaining momentum as they travel along. You get the idea.

So the easy thing to do is to change trains! Say STOP and then hop on the Gratitude Train. Start thinking of things to be grateful for. The bed you have to sleep in. That you opened your eyes one more time and you have been given another day on earth. That you have a job to go to. That you don’t have a job to go to. Be grateful for your dog or cat cuddled up beside you. The sounds of the birds chirping. Or the stillness. Or the feeling of your favorite sheets or blanket. ❤ That your heart is still beating. ❤ That the sun is shining. Or that the rain is refreshing the earth. That you can hear the rain…… etc. etc. etc. There are a zillion things you can find to be grateful for.

Once you get the gratitude train rolling you will start to feel better, your worry will fall away and best of all you will start to attract good things in your day and your life!

Also your smile 🙂 will be brighter and your heart ❤ will be happier and you will have a ripple effect on all of those that you encounter so even your relationships will improve. 🙂 It is a win-win any way you look at it.

I’ll see you on the Gratitude Train!

The Gift of Mistakes!

mistakes are proof

Here is another quote from the book of quotes that my daughter gave me for Valentine’s Day. I adore these quotes from the book that she made for me by hand. Each day, when I open one, it is a gift and I treasure it.

Today’s made me think about the word ‘mistake’. I have come to believe that there are no mistakes in life, or at least I try not to look at them that way anymore. I see all experiences as stepping stones or as what I call “the contrast”. The contrast simply means an experience that I have had that shows me what I really, really, want verses “the contrast”, which is what I don’t want or no longer want to bring into my life and my life’s experiences.

A simple example could be a relationship that one has had.  If you left a marriage or relationship of any kind, instead of seeing it as bad or wasted time, why not see it as the gift of showing you what you DO want in a relationship. Because of your past experience, you are much clearer on what is important for you to create in your life now.

The other day I wrote a blog post, also inspired by my daughter’s quote book, from that blog post I will quote myself here in reference to me saying No to an opportunity to be interviewed on a TV show about my overcoming adversity in health and life. I will put the link  later in this blog post to read the full post but for now here  is me quoting me: 🙂

‘”I see all of my past experiences as stepping stones that have gotten me to where I am today. The hardships and challenges have made me who I am so I see them as GIFTS! I did not feel I could properly convey myself to share the hardship piece because I don’t feel that way.  I see everything as if it was perfect! It was the contrast I needed to show me what I do want. 🙂 I don’t want to talk about painful stuff. It does not serve me. I am too focused on where I am now and en-JOY-ing the next phase.  I hope this makes sense cause I feel I am having a hard time conveying it for some reason…. but that’s okay, no perfection here. 🙂”

Here is the link to that prior blog post if you would like to read the entire piece. Maggie’s Prior Blog Post

The cool thing about that prior blog post was that I got great responses from people and I could tell that it really helped them to shift the way they saw their past. For example here is one private message that I received:

“Love the blog post and Sivanna’s book. Wow ! Lots of love in that. So I’m thinking or it hit me as I read , I need to change how I think of my marriage and my ex. I think of it as lost time. Wasted years. Years of sadness and lack that I beat myself up for tolerating.”

************

I was very happy to see this message from this is a client of mine that I know well,  It was an awesome moment for me to see her willing to let go of holding onto thinking of her past in a painful way. This does not serve us. It only robs us of the JOY we can have right now. I often say that the past already caused us pain, why let it cause you more pain today all over again? That’s like a double whammy!

I hope you too can start to think of so called mistakes as stepping stones to creating the life that you DO want and that will bring you more JOY, Love, Happiness and Magical relationships of all  kinds! When we let go of that which no longer serves us, we can be FREE! 🙂
