I was doing some text support with one of my clients and it got me to thinking that I would start a series of blog posts that share some of the conversations I have with clients, in the hope that it may help others. So here we go on the first one which has to do with moving forward after things like financial challenges, addictions and just beating ourselves up.
My client stated ” I am so angry Iโm in this place. I know Iโve put myself here but Iโm angry about it. I feel dumb and stupid and so incompetent.” She was referring to maxed out lines of credit and racked up credit cards, which is a place many of us have been, myself included.
She also messaged this:
Client: “I want to connect to joy and possibility I no longer want this sadness and fear itโs so heavy”.
My advice to her was to see the experience of the prior money management or mismanagement as the blessing it is. These experiences are truly gifts to show us what we do want, and how we want things to be. This is what we refer to as ‘the contrast’. When we clearly know, feel and see what we do not want in our life, we can clearly know, feel and see what we do want in our lives. There lies the blessing.
I also encouraged her to look at the positive ways she has handled money in her life as in her investments and that she owns a home as well. The secret here is to get excited about the positive. When we ‘feel’ good about a situation we can then shift the frequency from fear and failure to joy and possibility which is what she clearly desired.
All creation starts with a thought, but the most important part of creating and manifesting the lives we do want, comes from the feeling of having it already. This is the secret that master manifestors know and understand. We ‘feel’ our way to those things we want.
This is the same as breaking an addiction. It is much more effective to get excited about being free from the substance or behaviour, then beating yourself up over it. When you are in a state of fear and punishment you will just attract more fear and punishment and probably make your addiction or said behavior worse. I have found it is much more effective to focus on the way you will feel being free of the very thing that is weighing your down rather than focusing on the problem. You feel your way to the next state/frequency all the way to the door marked “Freedom”!
So back to my client. Can you see that the best thing for her to do would be to stop harboring those negative feelings about herself? And to actually get grateful for her experience so that she can use it as a catalyst for designing the very life she wants which includes empowered money management.
This technique can be applied to any situation or desire you are working on in your life.
I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any question you would like to ask Life Coach Maggie, please send it to me so I can write back here and maybe together we will help others too. ๐
