Uncanny That I Wrote This the Very Day I was Diagnosed with Cancer!

My FB Post I Wrote Earlier in That Day

A screen shot of my FB post in the early day on March 6th, 2021 and it says “Yep it’s me posting a picture of my window again. I never tire of this view. It is extra beautiful on days like today when the sky is extra blue. It brings me to tears as I think of how grateful I am to get to see ‘one more blue sky’… I never take this for granted anymore”….

May 28, 2021

Yesterday I snapped this picture of the tree outside my living room window at the Lake House. I thought it was so pretty with the birch tree budding new leaves. Currently, whenever I see new leaves or buds on trees I always think that our bodies can become new again just like the trees! It gives me HOPE!

I love this window and watching all of the different displays throughout the seasons. I see it as the window frame is a frame for the pictures that I see outside my window and I enJOY nature’s art observed through it. I especially like the view from my yoga mat ๐Ÿ™‚

I have taken many pictures of this window but yesterday I was reminded of my post and picture from March 6, which was the day it turned out that I was diagnosed with my cancer after going the the Emergency Department at the hospital on that Saturday night. I find it uncanny that I wrote this on the same day that I later was diagnosed. ๐Ÿ™‚

The more I travel on this journey, the more I KNOW that my intuition knew all along even though I didn’t have a lot of symptoms and I had just had a perfect blood work report shortly before this visit to the hospital.

I have had several ‘knowings’ that ‘I knew’ if that makes sense but this window picture now makes even more sense to me and now the experience is even richer when I look out that window. What a gift! I am so lucky ๐Ÿ™‚

Have an amazing day everyone and please see the beauty that is all around you ๐Ÿ™‚

LIfe, Living Fearlessly, Vibratory Living

Be Determined to LIVE Your Life – TODAY!!!

I have a little saying on my fridge. It says, in my own handwriting.

“What is the point of livin the life if we don’t live the life?”

Now you might think that is silly but it works for me. When I see this and walk past it, it instantly reminds me to do the things that mean the most to me! Life is meant to be lived and that means NOW.

TODAY is the day to rejoice in the day. TODAY is the day to squeeze as much JOY out of as you can. TODAY is the day! TODAY, TODAY, TODAY! YAY FOR TODAY!

Just remember none of us is promised tomorrow so TODAY is the day!

Hugs to all!

Healing With Intention

โ€œWhat happens when people open their hearts?โ€
โ€œThey get better.โ€ โ€“ Haruki Murakami

Open Your Heart to Heal

When we are facing an illness whether temporary, chronic, or terminal, there are always things that we can do that help us to heal, even if it is just healing our hearts and opening to more JOY along the journey.

All healing starts with personal empowerment and intention. What we intend we help to bring about.

As I journey and dance with cancer, I am learning to both embrace and to be open to the gifts that it has to offer. One of the greatest gifts that I have discovered along the way,ย is that I do have a lot of personal choice when it comes to how I approach things.

Seeking Life Rather than Avoiding Death

Today I was in a Facebook group and someone was talking about food and how this particular food was โ€˜to die forโ€™.

Every time I hear that phrase my heart jolts!

ย I love to say instead โ€œto live for!” Example, “This cake is to live for!” ๐Ÿ™‚

And this is how I feel about living with my recent diagnosis of cancer.

I have chosen to fill my days seeking life rather than avoiding death. Now this may sound a little morbid but in all reality it is not. We can all benefit from this. We are all going to die at some pointโ€ฆ. maybe today or maybe tomorrow or maybe 30 years from now. We don’t know when but we can live in the meantime! ………

What matters is did we live while we were alive?

And when it comes to food or things that we love โ€ฆโ€ฆ we should LIVE for them!

I hope that this gives you some food for thoughtโ€ฆ pun very much intended. Have a great day everyone!

cancer, hope, My Cancer Journey

My Journey With Cancer

Hello Everyone!

If you have noticed that my blogging has not been as often, it is because in March, which is oddly enough Colon Cancer Awareness Month, I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t even like to use the word ‘cancer’ as it just has such a negative frequency to it, but I am purposely using it in my blog posts because I want people to be able to find my posts if they Google the word ‘Cancer’. I want to be a light for others who are also travelling on this journey.

When you are diagnosed with the big ‘C’ it is of course very scary and you often turn to Google for help. The biggest thing that anyone diagnosed needs right off the bat is HOPE and sometimes that is not easy to find out there.

Cancer does not have to be a death sentence. It can be an entry into the next grand and glorious phase of your life, but in order for that to happen, one must have HOPE and to be of a positive mindset. This of course must be done at one of the most likely challenging times in one’s life and although not easy it is possible because anything is possible if you believe ๐Ÿ™‚

It is my intention to blog throughout my journey and hope that I help others also. And because I have more than one blog I wanted to make everyone here aware that I will also be blogging a lot on my Maggie’s Vitamins Blog in a category called “Cancer”, so you can find posts there as well.

Here is the link:

If you are reading this today I want to thank you for being in my life and supporting me on my journey and if you have newly landed here I thank you for being here. Know that you are never alone ๐Ÿ™‚

One of the thoughts I will leave all of you with today, is to make sure that you are doing what you love even if in a small way in your day. Since my diagnosis I am very clear on what is important to me and I am making sure that I do that. For example, writing is one of those things for me and thus this blog post. ๐Ÿ™‚ My soul knows more than ever that it is important to do those things that bring us JOY. I hope you do those too!

And here is a link to my post around my recent cancer diagnosis if you are interested in reading that ๐Ÿ™‚

My Recent Diagnosis That Has Changed My Life Forever….

Here I am turning 55. Not sure what day you are reading this, but May 3rd is my birthday. It has been an interesting 54th year indeed and it appears my 55th year will be too.

I apologize to you all for missing two months of getting my newsletter out to you, but I had some significant life changing events. And if you are not on my newsletter but just reading here on my blog, thank you for being here today.

So anyhow one of the significant events in the last few months that was quite exciting was that I was voted the #1 Business in my city on the platform Alignable, and that was super cool. I am honoured indeed! It made my heart happy to receive this recognition.

The other super significant thing that happened to me in March was that I found out that I have colon cancer. This was a big revelation to me and sure made me stop in my tracks and evaluate my life in a whole new way.  And wow it turns out that March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month.

With that said, I will say that there are many gifts in this experience that helps one to both see and appreciate life in a whole new way. And of course, there is also a whole new level of uncertainty that comes with it.

The good news is that I have taken time to sit with this and to adjust to what this means for me. I have been waiting to share my news until now as it has been a lot of adjusting.ย  I wanted to feel comfortable and strong in myself before I shared this news.ย  I am using this experience to make me stronger, and it has sure been a learning curve.ย  This has opened up a whole new world for me and I can honestly say it is not a world where there is much inspiration or JOY involved and my soul craves both of those.ย

So, I am hoping to inspire others through my own journey and to help others who are also going through this. And step one for me was coming out of the โ€˜Cโ€™  Closet here with you all and secondly I am excited to start blogging some of my insights around this whole thing hoping that I might inspire others who are going through similar diagnoses and also everyone in life to really get clear on what is important to them and to have gratitude for the ordinary things disguised as life.

When you are faced with a life altering diagnosis like cancer, you really, really, see things in a whole new way I tell you ๐Ÿ™‚

And on top of all of this, my whole family got COVID in March too! Luckily, we all made it through just fine, but it certainly added an extra depth to thingsโ€ฆ. More on that in future blog posts. ๐Ÿ™‚ Let’s just say I have had the 2 C’s… Cancer, Covid and now I’m going for the 3rd… Cured ๐Ÿ™‚

I recently had a colon resection to remove my cancerous mass and that went well. I am two weeks, and two days post op and doing great recovering from that but as you know this is a journey so I will continue on my path of healing and adjusting to my new life.

So far many people have asked me how they can help me and you may wonder that also or you may be  trying to help someone in your life who has had a scary diagnosis like cancer. And this is how you can helpโ€ฆ

Please when you think of me or your loved one or friend, think of us with love and see us vibrating in health and wellness. Please see me as healthier than ever and living with vibrancy.  Fear is not our friend and I spend each day doing what I can to vibrate in JOY and with HOPE and with PEACE in my heart. I want you to see me in that way and hold me in that light. If you can all do that for me, I would be forever grateful.

And I know sometimes people like to donate supportive dollars to places like the Cancer Society or Cancer Research and that is awesome, but I think that something even more helpful if you are wanting to do that is to give your donations right to the person.  When one is diagnosed with something like cancer, they may not be able to work as they did before, and they may also be adding in therapies to help them on their journey like I am now, and these can be very expensive. When one is diagnosed with cancer, they are often willing to do anything to make it better and this includes additional therapies like Vitamin C – IV therapy, supplements, Acupuncture, organic foods, juicing, books to help heal, and more! This is all very costly and can be stressful and stress is also something that is not conducive to healing so resources to make it easier always help.

In closing I hope that my new journey will help others also and if you are reading this, I want to thank YOU for being in my life. I am so grateful for all of the people and experiences that I have enJOYed thus far on my journey. I have a deepened sense of gratitude and I want you to know that you are a part of my appreciation.

Please take time for you as this is very important. I will be sharing in future posts things that I was doing or not doing in my life that contributed to the cancer in my body and being overwhelmed was one of them. I am working at simplifying my life and I hope that you too make you a priority.  It is the best thing that you can do for your health and well-being.

With Much Love to All,
