Empire of the Mind

Quote: The empires of the future are the empires of the mind.” – Winston Churchill

“The empires of the future are the empires of the mind.” – Winston Churchill

I love quotes and saw this one this morning. I had never heard of it before but it ties in nicely to what I believe and what I also believe is happening right now!

We are in a time of awakening and we are indeed awakening the empire of our minds and the best part is that we can learn how to harness this powerhouse!

It is of my opinion that we have been living vastly in a 3 dimensional world. In this world of creation we were more linear and creative in an industrial and constructive way. It was more about ‘things’.

Now we have entered the New Dawn and are awakening to that part of us that is a force. That part of us that is divine and infinite. That part of us that is what makes us all one and is an intelligence beyond comprehension.

So to keep this simple, one need only follow 3 easy steps to tap into their own powerhouse:

  1. Acknowledge with Awareness that you are an infinite and divine being who is connected to the source energy of all that is. Call it what you want… God, Krishna, Buddha, Source, Universe or Pepperoni… it matters not… it is the SOURCE!
  2. Harness your power. Now that you are aware, harness and use wisely your power. Think thoughts that serve you, believe that good happens to you and for you, and get clear on your desires.
  3. Build your empire. Use your mind to ‘mind’ what you want, what direction you want to go in and start ‘manifesting’ everything that you want to bring about. We often overcomplicate manifestation but it is more simple that we know. Clarity and Focus are our greatest tools.

This is just a brief synopsis for you to get started using the power of your mind and the divine source available to you, but I have written many posts with more insights if you would like to access those also. I will post the link below.

And interestingly enough, there was a quote I heard today that was also new for me and that I also loved very much! So I wrote a blog post around that one over at my Business Coaching Blog and you might also enJOY that one.

Here is the link to that one and have fun with building the empire of your mind! 🙂

Gifts In Life

The Gift

Today is Christmas Day and as I pondered on today, on the year ahead, and on the year past, an idea came to me.

Gratitude

You know how gratitude and being grateful in life is such a huge deal? I for one, practice gratitude on a regular basis and believe it is one of the most rewarding things in life. Gratitude makes my life richer and sweeter.

But because it was Christmas morn today and there were some gifts involved, I started thinking about the true gifts in life.

As I showered, I thought of the gift of another yet another warm shower to enJOY. I then started to think of the gift of another meal as we were about to have brunch. And then my mind went to a place of Yes each moment can be a gift! And if we see it that way each experience can be like opening a gift for the first time and it increases the enJOYment of the moment.

Of course the people, the love and the memories we make are true gifts in life also but so are the moment by moment events and moments.

The Gifts

So this will be my new form of practicing gratitude on a daily basis and moment by moment. Like here I am with the gift of being able to write yet one more blog post and the gift of my fingers still working well enough to hammer at this keyboard.

I have also decided to gift myself in the coming year in a way that nurtures my soul and gives me fulfillment. What is my plan for this gift to myself?

I have decided that I am going to do WAY more of what brings me JOY. I already live my life this way but I am going to practice spending MORE time on the things that I truly, truly love to do and less time on those things that are more mundane and that I do because I think I ‘should’ do them.

For example, I know that I love to write and I love to take pictures. I will honor both of those things on a daily basis. They will be first and foremost instead of when I can fit them in. I already do both of these things daily but somehow I now realize the gift of the gift so to speak and I know that I am meant to enJOY my gifts of expression and that it is more important than ever! As the saying goes, if not now, when?

And I will look for and savor the little gifts brought to me in each moment.

What About You?

What about you? Will you take some time today or whenever you are reading this to acknowledge and embrace the gifts in your life moment by moment, and the things that bring you JOY?

Will you do more of them? Will you put YOU on your priority list for 2021?

Today I bestow on you many Blessings and I hope you life is filled with and infinite amount of gifts each and every day.

Crystal Clear Vision Heading Into 2021

Clear Vision

You have sole ownership of your vision. And the Universe will give you what you want within your vision. What happens with most people is that they muddy their vision with “reality”. Their vision becomes full of not only what they want but what everybody else thinks about what they want, too. Your work is to clarify and purify your vision so that the vibration that you are offering can then be answered.”

Excerpted from Boston, MA on 10/11/98

Our Love
Esther (Abraham and Jerry)

I LOVE THIS REMINDER!

I love this reminder from this Abraham quote! I would add in the words ‘so called reality‘. “What happens with most people is that they muddy their vision with their so called reality

Our reality is simply what we say it is and everybody’s real-it-y is what THEY say it is.

My reality is very amazing and beautiful and everything works out for good for me in my life. That is MY reality and I am sticking with it.

I am also very crystal clear on my vision moving into 2021. The year 2021 is going to be the best year of my life. And do your know why? Because I say so! This is my reality that I am both projecting and creating for myself.

We are the master movie projectors of our own lives and we create scene by scene with our thoughts and our beliefs. Life is a play and we write it minute by minute.

And it does not matter what happened in the last scene or set, it’s over and now we are on the new scene and set. Just say “CUT” and move on!

I like that. “Just say CUT and move on”. 🙂 Sometimes I am surprised by the things that come out of me. 🙂 Again this is creation in action.

I hope that you take some time between now and the end of 2020 to get crystal clear on your visions for you next scene and your play in 2021.

All the best from:

Maggie at Crystal Clear Coaching 🙂

Brothers, Family, My Life

My Brothers

“Brothers are like streetlights along the road; they don’t make distance any shorter but they light up the path and make the walk worthwhile”.

Ed, John, and Wally in front of the ‘fish house’ at Wally’s son’s wedding in 2017. This was the wedding of Colton & Nicole and it was so nice for all of us to revisit the family homestead and to celebrate this JOYous occasion.

I am the baby of six children. Here is a picture of my siblings and I taken a few years back.

Brothers John, Wally, Ed, Myself, Sister Stephanie and sister Barb (the oldest)

Although we can’t be together this holiday season, I am grateful that I still have all of my siblings in my life, even if we can’t physically be together this year…. but today is about brothers……

The Role of My Brothers In My Life

Today while reflecting on this brother’s quote, I was reminded of the role that all of my brothers played in my life as a child. Oh how I looked up to them! They loved me so much and I knew it. I was their baby sister with blond hair, blue eyes and rosy cheeks.

Here is a picture of me when I was little with my sister Stephanie. It is not very good as I had to try and blow it up. Unfortunately, I lost my lifetime of pictures due to water damage which is why I always tell everyone put your pictures in a digital format so you have them always and for the next generation and the ones after that.

Anyhow, here is the picture:

Me and my sister Stephanie at the top of what we called ‘the hill’ which went down to the lake.

A lot of people say a girl’s first male relationship is being Daddy’s girl but I think because of the age gap between my parents and I (being a late life baby) and having these older siblings, my brothers were my first and they all were!

I loved and do love them all dearly!

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Wally

I remember one time my oldest brother Wally bringing me a brown pencil case with a brand new package of pencil crayons. I can see them as clear as day right now and it was a moment I will never forget. I think I still cherish those pencil crayons to this day and think of them whenever I see a pencil crayon.

Wally traveled the world for his work and he was so interesting to me because of it. He was also a part of why I was able to spend a month in Ireland when I was 13. This was such an amazing experience for this small town girl who graduated from a one room school.

Wally is a entrepreneur like me and I admire his wisdom and guidance.

John

My brother John and I were very close too. We shared a love of cheeseburgers for lunch on cold winter’s days and he would always give me all of his change. That was so exciting . He would save it up and then I would get it and count it out like it was gold. Of course there was a catch. I’d have to get him a cup of tea or coffee whenever he would rattle his cup on the table. lol But I didn’t mind I loved him and I love doing it!

In later years John and I became roommates as adults and that is a time I will always cherish. Wow. I just realized that last night I dreamt about that little basement apartment we shared! They had made all these great changes to the unit in my dream and I wanted to tell him about them. I often dream about that apartment.

If you know John, you know that he is the historian in the family. I don’t think any of us have met a person who can remember details and dates as well as he can. 🙂

Ed or Eddie Bear

Brother Ed and I are the closest in age in the all the siblings. He is next up to me. Because of that I remember being the one to rat him out on things to my parents.

Sorry Ed I regret that 🙂

Eddie or ‘Eddie Bear’ as we fondly called him is the one who reminds me most of my own childlike wonder for life. Eddie has this huge heart and is passionate about life and family. He is the one who feverishly worked at keeping the magic in my childhood for as long as possible, and for that I am forever grateful.

Ed is also the one who today, spends a lot of time with my own daughter and we fondly refer to him as “Silly Uncle Ed”. He is so much fun and has such a JOY for life and it shows.

I love all of my sisters and brothers dearly.

It was so nice today to do a tribute to my brothers. I love you all. I am grateful that it was all of you for your role as my big brothers and I truly wouldn’t change a thing.

Of course I am bawling my eyes out right now but this is good.

And thank you to all of my siblings for being in my life and just so you know my favorite story is always the one about when I was born and brought home. … about how Mom came on the bus to Kashabowie with me, and you walked me around the lake because it wasn’t thawed yet and we couldn’t walk on the lake or take a boat, and laid me on Mom’s bed when you brought me home. The little girl in me loves that story..

Some Pictures

Some pictures to enJOY! Unfortunately I don’t have many of Uncle John.

Brother Wally taking my own daughter fishing. My dream come true.. to have my little girl do this with her Uncle and to also play in the sand at the beach which was one of my driving factors in acquiring my cottage in 2011….. and thanks to Wally who said one magic phrase that helped me to take that action and do what it took to make that happen. We never know how one word or sentence can be so profound and life changing.
Ed and I on his 50th birthday… when I was still the last Holbik sibling under 50 but not any more! 🙂

Wally and Eddie this September while we enJOYed our annual trout fishing weekend. Now I could write a whole blog post about this tradition and what it means to us at a deep level, but that is for another time. 🙂

Well I will close this chapter in memory lane for now and I hope that each and every one of you reading this takes the time to appreciate those that you love.

Even in my own life and upbringing times were not easy, but I choose to remember the things that bring a smile to my heart and I hope that you too can find that place inside yourself to cherish the moments that matter to you and to love the people who were just doing their best with what they knew … cause that is all of us my friends… we are all just walking each other home….

With Love,

Maggie aka Margaret Mary 🙂

My Life

Me As a Little Girl

My nephew Jason and I many, many years ago.

Here I am with my nephew many years ago sitting on Santa’s knee and of course when one sees an old picture, it makes one reflect on life and always on how fast it flies by.

I Remain Childlike

When I see this picture of myself and the twinkle in my eyes, I am reminded about how I am still very much childlike and I love that about me. I still get excited about life and all that it has to offer.

I was a little girl who rowed a boat to school and when I graduated the eighth grade there were only 7 pupils left in the entire school which was then a one room school. It did have two rooms until the population dwindled and then it was a one room and then closed permanently shortly thereafter.

I am grateful for all of my life to date. I have had many personal challenges along the way but I see them all as catalysts that moved me in the direction of where I wanted to go. I am also grateful that I decided a long time ago that my dreams were important and I have worked hard to make them happen… always with JOY though. I must add that. I really feel that it is important to have JOY and love what you are doing or there is no point.

And most of all, I look forward, with childlike wonder, to all that is yet to come in my creative tapestry of my life as I continue to co-create it with the divine intelligence available to all of us.

What About You?

At this holiday time or whenever you are reading this, I hope that you too declare JOY for yourself in your life and that you get excited about what is yet to come. As we all know, we are never promised tomorrow so we must make the best of whatever time we have left and the best way to do that is to decide in each moment and in each day to find things to do and experience that are JOYful to us.

Happy Day and Happy Holidays to all of my friends here.

With Much Love,

Maggie

Self-care, self-love

Invest 𝓛𝓞𝓥𝓔 In Yourself!

“The love I invest in myself comes back to me tenfold and heals the world!” Maggie Holbik

So I just came up with this quote after reading a quote from someone who I admire, Alan Cohen. Here was his quote:

“The love I invest in my relationships returns to me multiplied many times over.” Alan Cohen

I pondered on Alan’s quote, which I love by the way, and I was reminded that we must love ourselves and that our most important relationship is with ourselves.

We might want to ask a few of these questions:

Am I honoring myself?

Am I showing myself love and kindness today?

Am I thinking with a mindset that serves and empowers me?

Am I taking time today to do things that make me happy?

Am I listening to my soul and its callings?

Am I looking for beauty in my life to brighten my spirit and bring me JOY?

Feel free to add your own questions to the list. The more that we can love and appreciate our beautiful and perfect selves, the more we allow others to do the same and the more we brighten the world.

YOU loving YOU is a Win/Win!

Have an amazing day everyone!

Happiness, happy, happy heart

Keep It Simple & Go For It

“Find something that makes you happy and go for it”.

I think sometimes we overcomplicate life. We just do.

Take today for instance. How about we just find one thing that makes us happy for right now… for today… and we just do it!

Whatever it is just do it.

Maybe it’s making a piece of toast with your favorite jam, just because, or saying “NO” to a request from someone. It can be anything.

For me, it was writing this blog post because it makes me so happy to write. I also took time out to take a picture of the icy rocks today here on the Big Lake aka Lake Superior. The weather turned cold today and there is an interesting misty thing going on and it made me happy to take a picture of it!

Ice forming on rocks on Lake Superior December 14, 2020

There is no right or wrong here folks, but if you can, just go RIGHT NOW and do something that makes you happy and DO NOT complicate it. EnJOY! 🙂

Don's Words, Dons Wisdom

My Exclusive Interview with Don Perry, My Spouse & His Views on Healthy Living & Longevity

Here is an interview chat I did with my spouse Don today about his secrets for healthy living and longevity. I find him such an inspiration and I wanted to share that.

A picture of Don looking good.

So, Don you recently turned 75 this summer or as you say 57 😊.

Can you share with us some of your secrets to healthy living and longevity?

DON:

Well I have several things that I like to do.

I exercise 3 times a week, 2 hours a day, and I take vitamins and high-quality supplements every day. I also drink fruit smoothies with Aloe Vera Juice. I am fortunate to not be on any prescription medications.

I read positive books every morning while I am drinking my Isotonix vitamins. I find this helps me to start my day on a very positive note, helps me to handle stress better, and to keep my body and mind healthy.

I write my own spiritual poems, Christmas messages, Birthday cards, and other writings for family and friends. This makes me feel good and keeps my mind active.

I have great relationships with my spouse, my ex-wife, my siblings, my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all of my extended family and friends.  I really feel it is important to have loving relationships in your life.

Even in my 50 plus years, and still going, of owning and operating various businesses, I have had good relationships with all my employees and partners along the way. I feel this has kept my body and mind from being over stressed. Healthy relationships are so important in all forms.

I have also learned to make date nights and spending time with my spouse and partner a priority. We enjoy our date nights on Fridays, and it gives us an opportunity for connection and spiritual growth.

Don people often ask you are you ever planning on retiring? What is your take on that?

I say I am retired because I love what I do and I do not consider it a job so No, I will never retire from being me. 😊

Any final comments Don?

I would take a line from the very first poem I wrote in the year 2000 called “Think Love”

 .

“The secret to life was sent from above, whatever we do, should be done out of Love”

Well thank you Don. I love you very and much I will see you tonight. 😊

I hope you enJOYed my lunchtime chat with Don as much as I did. Have a great day every one!

free will, Joy

Absolute Freedom

“The basis of your life is absolute freedom, the goal is joy, and the result of that perfect combination is motion forward, or growth. Your goal is to find objects of attention that let your cork raise.” Jerry & Esther Hicks, 1997

I received this quote in my email this morning and I really resonated with it. When I see the words ‘absolute freedom’ that appeals to me. 🙂

My goal in life is to live in JOY. I love freedom and I love JOY!

I think that the greatest gift that we have is in fact free-will and that is freeing in itself.

I personally, am very selective as to what information I access. For example, in my work as a wellness advocate and a Board Certified Nutritionist, I know that I can find a study on just about anything. So what I am referring to is that I can find information to prove just about any point and so can anyone.

So what’s my point right now? My point is that I bring to ME information and objects of desire that bring me JOY! Because I get it!

I could spend my day proving to myself with information out there, how terrible the world is or I can prove to myself how beautiful and JOYous the world is and I choose the latter.

In my playground of life I want fun times baby! I am wasting no time in suffering unless I don’t have a choice. I know there are times in life when pain and suffering happen to us because that is life, but in the moments in between I am riding the JOY train! 🙂

Have a great day everyone and I hope you too ride the train of JOY in your life too!
