anxiety, worry, Worry Less

Worry Not…

“If you want to test your memory, try to recall what you were worrying about one year ago today.”

– E. Joseph Cossman

Do you just love that quote like I do? Right?

How much time do we lose in life to worry? Whatever the answer that comes to mind, it’s too much!

It reminds me of the saying about not letting thoughts live rent free in our heads. If they are not positive thoughts that are serving us, they have to move out! Same for worry. Sorry, I don’t need you here in my life and head.

What do I need you might ask? How about filling that space with peace, comfort, JOY, happiness, trust, HOPE, laughter, and more?

Now that is a better plan isn’t it? 🙂 And if we know that we probably won’t remember what we were worrying about last year on this day, we can see how unimportant a lot of worry really is.

All we have is the here and now. We hear that all the time but it really is true. Yesterday does not exist (not here anymore) and tomorrow, as we know, never comes and is not promised to anyone so let us live each moment in as much peace and JOY as we can and this means SORRY WORRY BUT YOU HAVE TO GO! 🙂

Be Childlike, manifestation, manifesting

There Is a Good Reason to be a Dreamer!

Yesterday I did a couple of Facebook Live presentations about using our Imaginations to Manifest in our lives. I talked about being childlike and about dreaming.

When we dream we are being led but when we use our imagination to manifest, WE ARE IN COMMAND rather than being led.” A me quote 🙂

This morning I was feeding my mind with some inspirational reading and opened to this in a small book that I was glancing through! It was like 🆆🅾🆆!

Here is what I saw from a book called “Swing High, Life Lessons from Childhood” by Anthony Gunn (One of my thrift stores finds 🙂

Watch a children’s movie

When a child watches a movie they become totally engrossed by it, while as adults we prefer to pick a movie to pieces, questioning everything. Challenge yourself and watch a children’s movie, imagining you’re watching it as a child. This means everything is believable. Just enjoy the experience without passing judgement.

‘I have a theory that movies operate on the level of dreams, where you dream yourself.’ – Meryl Streep

A Few Take-Aways From This

. be more childlike

. believe anything is possible because it is

. dream more

. use your own imagination more

. don’t question so much, decide what you want and trust that it will be delivered

I hope you enJOYed this today and for anyone interested I will be doing a FREE Zoom class on using your Imagination to Manifest if you would like the details of when that will be.

Joy, Living Fearlessly

Be Fearless

“Your fear is 100% dependent on you for its survival.” – Steve Maraboli

Picture of a woman sitting and looking forward to a lake or open space. With the quote on the picture.

When I saw this quote the other day, I KNEW that it was a keeper! I absolutely love it!

What I really like about it is that you could exchange the word ‘fear’ for other words and it still works.

For example: “Your happiness is 100% dependent on you for its survival.” 🙂

“Your JOY is 100% dependent on you for its survival.”

And sure other people can bring us JOY and happiness but if we cannot receive or see it, WE stop ourselves from experiencing it.

As for the fear one, just reading this quote and pondering on it brings me freedom. I do not have to let fear live in my mind rent free! I can got off its source of energy.

One of the best ways to shift from fear is to focus on love and gratitude. This instantly helps one to start shifting from vibrating at the level of fear and to start to move up the emotional and energetic ladder.

I have written about working with your thoughts to help with this as well. Here are a few links to past blogs posts that might help you if you are struggling with any of this:

I hope that you have found this helpful and that you strive to live fearlessly and in

Lighten Up & Relax More

“No one ever died from sleeping in an unmade bed.”

Erma Bombeck

Stress

An unmade bed won’t kill you, but stress can! Stress is one of the biggest challenges in life and also poses the greatest detriment to our health.

One of the ways to help with stress is to lighten up and let go. Sometimes we just need to relax and not worry about having everything perfect and in perfect order.

Now I am not saying there is a right or wrong. I know some people feel that they have to make their bed each morning and have everything in perfect order and that is perfect. I am talking generically here.

For example, one of the phrases I have used over the years with my coaching clients is this one which helps them to realize what is most important in life and what means the most to them. It goes something like this: “If you were on your deathbed and flashing back on your life, would it be important to you or would it matter that you washed your kitchen floor 2000 times?” What exactly would you be wishing you had more time to do if there was more time left? Probably not washing the floors I bet. 😉

I like to use this phrase or thought process myself when I am trying to made a decision. Perhaps someone invites me out for lunch and I know that I would enJOY that but I feel that I have things that ‘I have to do’…. sometimes I think wait, what really is more important here?

Anyhow friends, that is my thought for the day. 🙂

Until next time..

Happy 🅲🅰🅽🅰🅳🅰 Day EH?

A big deck with two red Muskoka chairs and a Canadian flag in the shape of a flag with wording on picture that says “Happy Canada Day!”

♥ I Love Canada! ♥

I love Canada and feel fortunate to be a Canadian citizen. We live in such a beautiful country and I am grateful for this blessing.

My Mom and Dad came to Canada on their honeymoon in 1947. They were born in Wisconsin and journeyed by car, for their ♥ Honeymoon ♥ and then train to the small town of Kashabowie in Northwestern Ontario. How they found out about Kashabowie is a mystery to me. I will have to ask my older siblings and get the scoop 🙂

Anyhow, needless to say, they fell in love with the country and ended up immigrating to Canada after a few years of commuting back and forth. In the winter they worked at American Motors building airplanes and in the summer they began building their small tourist resort in Canada called “Idyllwild Resort”. Idyllwild meaning peaceful.

My Dad was good at being creative with coming up with names like this and writing good marketing copy like “nestled amongst the red pines”. I forever remember this line in his brochure as tears stream down my face.

My parents loved Canada and when my Mom died in June of 1993, we held her prayers on the eve of July 1. I am not sure why. It seems odd to be now that we would expect people to come out on that day but it had something to do people needing travel time to come from the USA and the availability of the funeral home.

Anyhow, I always remember leaving the funeral home and hearing fire works. To this day Canada Day has an extra depth for me for these reasons and especially for how much my parents loved Canada.

And so did my relatives. We have amazing memories and the BEST of the BEST of times happened when the American relatives came to visit. To this day pictures are shared, memories are held and stories are shared with delight and fondness.

I want to wish you all a very Happy Canada Day and I am sending love to my parents above and to all of YOU!

Have a great one Eh? 🙂
